Bucilla More Tiny Stockings Ornaments Cross Stitch Kit, Cotton, 2.5"x3" 14 Count Set, one Size

I'm really enjoying making these miniature Christmas stockings and the two I've finished look very cute. Pleasingly, the kit arrived sooner than I had expected. I think that having some experience of cross stitch is helpful for making these items but, once you get going, they are straightforward enough to complete. Unfortunately the threads aren't separately identified so it is necessary to work out first which thread is likely to be which colour and then to label them! Also, the amount of materials provided is a bit skimpy - there is not enough cardboard and no fabric glue, polyester fibrefill or hanging cord in the kit. However, I have made mine as stockings with an opening so that tiny gifts can be put inside. Overall, I am delighted with the results so far.

This is a great kit comes with everything you need and I am sure I will enjoy making these very much, but a word of warning to anyone fairly new to cross stitch the threads are NOT on number cards with listings of what colour is which thread, so if your not familiar with DMC numbers or colours this may be confusing you can look up on a free conversion chart to what Bucilla number is equilivant to DMC etc. ie Bucilla 2001 is DMC 310/ black, Bucilla 2756 = DMC 869 etc etc. I HAVE ADDED A PICTURE WITH DMC NUMBERS (if different) ON THE RIGHT I am lucky and own every DMC colour available so easy to cross check shades against those inside. apart from this I would have given this 5 stars easily

Great kit really generous thread amounts. Lovely small stockings. Easy to construct. Great value for money. Lots of variety.

I found this kit disapointing they are not stockings you can put thing in you glue your finished stitching to a card stocking shape and back it with the felt supplied. The aida that is included in the kit is very skimpy with minimum border allowance you get just enough and have to be precise when cutting. Also required not included with the kit is stuffing to pad out your stocking shaped. The symbols for line work are very similar and confusing. Symbols for half stitches are unreadable as charts are very small. I thought for the price getting 30 small projects was good and useful but I have stitched one and not completed the stocking and have become frustrated disapointed and lost interest.

After completing rather a lot of the Bucilla felt stocking kits I thought I'd have a go at these cross stitch mini stockings as I hadn't done any cross stitch for quite some years. They turn out rather cute but putting them together can be a little fiddly and outlining the image is rather taxing!! They are lovely though and I am enjoying making them for our tree and a few for gifts.

The cottons are not separated, 2 cards are provided which take 12 colours each, there are more like 26 so it’s a double up situation. Too many half stitches and French knots. Some of the charts are difficult to read, they come on two large sheets which I found difficult to manipulate, because they are printed both sides you can’t cut them down . They look ok when made up. I struggled a bit with these to be honest, and I do a lot of cross stitch. For a beginner, I think this would be quite difficult

Good value for money only let down is u have to sort the threads out which isn't easy

These little cross stitch ornaments are lovely and such good value for money - I had plenty of materials to cut out all the pieces, and I've sorted the floss (the card for storing the sorted floss wasn't big enough, but I just made my own with a piece of card and a hole punch). I've made about six of the thirty stockings so far, and they look at least as nice as the picture and are pretty quick to make.

買ったのがクリスマス間近だったのでまだ刺繍していませんが、それぞれの柄がとても可愛くて購入しました。 一つ一つが小さいので出来上がりも早いと思います。 ツリーに飾っても良いのですが、ズラーッと並べて飾っても素敵だと思います。 Bucillaからもうひとつ違う柄のオーナメントで「かわいい靴下」というものが有り、そちらも買いました。 似た内容ですが、同じ柄のものは有りません。見ているだけで幸せになれるキットです。

Die Idee ist sehr gut und schön, aber das Set selbst... ist einfach eine Katastrophe. Die Symbole im Muster passen nicht zu den Symbolen im Fadenschlüssel, die Fäden selbst sind nicht nach Symbolen sortiert – verstehen Sie es, wie Sie wollen...

They will keep me busy sewing them and are a beautiful addition to my tree.
