Aspenware Compostable Wooden Cutlery Spoon, 12-Piece

I bought these to make chocolate spoons for Christmas gifts. They had a terrible smell when I opened the package. I did like the feel & look of the spoons but I wouldn't use them for food. I will use them for non-food related gifts because I already have them but I wouldn't purchase again.

After going through the dishwasher twice they fell apart. They're really cheap and if you plan on composting them after a few uses, great. Otherwise, spend a little more for something you can continue to use for more than 3 times.

We host a 100+ person party every year and are always looking for ways to streamline cleanup. This year, we opted to get these compostable spoons. I wish I could tell you it's because we wanted to save the earth, but another big factor was ease of cleanup -- just throw these into the compost with all the food waste and paper bowls! We liked that these really break down fast -- Taterware and similar products are *technically* compostable, but might not actually break down in a typical commercial facility. Wood does. Forks were also good, though those obviously were a separate order.Word to the wise: you can get better prices on this stuff in bulk away from Amazon. We ordered this test run from Amazon, but bought our large order from a cheaper provider

These spoons disappointed me, When I opened the plastic pack they were in, somehad cracks running along the length of the spoon and I even received 2 with chip edges. I had to throw out the damages ones. They are very very light, I wonder how they will hold out.

Most of my spoons arrived with cracked with splits. I like the idea though, I hope my next order is better.

Great deal.Spoons are light but sturdy. Were used as favors for cupcake in a jar at a bridal shower.Definitely would buy again for a similar use.

I love these! Elegant enough for a dinner party and can be reused a few times if washed lightly by hand.
