Excellent Pad and Storage... it had better be for the price
Nothing but good things to say about this product. I had one for a couple years already and got a second one. Straps on the cane seat of the canoe just fine, has two zipper storage and a stiffening pad underneath too. Made a big difference in several multi day canoe camping fishing trips, spent a lot of time on the seat fishing. shows no signs of wear. It is a little pricey, maybe I am just being cheapo. Important point though, the padding is the right thickness in my opinion, it gives your butt a break, but doesn't raise you up too high as to change the stability of the canoe. Recommend.

Good pack with an exception
This is a well made storage bag. It's padded and fits well in the bench. The only problem was I have a Padded seat with a back. You can't use both. However, I hung it over the thwart just behind the seat. Itshould work great like this and it should be readily accessible to the front seat paddler for his/her rain gear.I gave it 4 stars because I haven't actually got to use it yet

Excellent seats and good storage area.
These seats were great. Did a 2 week wilderness trip and they are great for stowing rain gear and other small items. I gave them 4 stars because the zippers are a bit difficult to get started when they are opened all the way. They should have shortened the zippers a bit - as it is they open so wide they 'turn the corner' of the fabric and it's a bit tricky to start them back around the corner.Otherwise they are excellent, good padding and they stayed in place. Some reviewers said they shifted but we had no trouble with that. They stayed in place even in some whitewater segments.One other issue was when we did dump the otherwise empty canoe (missed communication about who was getting out on which side of the boat) these filled up with water and soaked our rain gear. No big deal but if it had been raining or cold that would have been a pain. If the zippers had been fully closed that probably wouldn't have happened to the extent it did.

Underwhelming
I would expect for the price, it would be waterproof, larger, and come with more storage compartments than just one. Conceptually, it's a fantastic idea, but it really misses the mark here. Will be sending back.
