Holman Study Bible: NKJV Edition, Eggplant/Tan LeatherTouch Imitation Leather – September 1, 2013

I have many bibles but this one is the most complete and easy to understand bible I have. Jesus words are in red and the font is easy to read. The indexed tables for the books of the bible are cut out and the New Testament tabs are in red. The bible is a little heavy but very easy to handle. The excerpts are thought provoking and good for bible study discussion. The cover is soft and does try to close the bible while reading. This is a nice addition for bible study.

Words cannot express how amazing and beautiful this Bible is at all. The detail of the cover is amazing, the amount of detail inside to help someone who wants to dive deeper and understand the story of Jesus and the historical moments. We all know the story but the extra detail on the bottom is so helpful!! It’s a bit thicker than a normal bible as it’s a study bible and has more details. But I love it.

This is a very nice Bible. It was a gift for our granddaughter and she loved it. The Bible is a bit heavy but so very nice. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. It has everything needed for a study Bible and red lettering which I did not think would be difficult to find but so many do not include the red lettering which I would always want in a Bible. The cover has a great feel and it made very well. Should last for years.

This is the best bible I have ever had. I love the coloring and get compliments all the time. It comes with 2 tassel book marks so I'm able to keep track of where I am in the old testament and new testament and I really like that. I have had a lot of bibles and I donate the ones that get worn quickly but this one I will be keeping for a long time.

I was extreme pleased with this Bible. The cover is very nice and the pages have great color. Each book starts on the right page, that was nice with adding Bible tabs for my daughters. I got mine for less than $20 each, so not sure why the price has went up so much.

I bought this to replace my other Study Bible which fell apart after many years of use. Structurally, this Bible appears to be fairly well made. (I've only had it for a few months, though, so we'll see.). I like that the paper is thicker. I agree with the reviewer who commented on the flimsiness of the cover - that is somewhat of a concern for me, and I think a leather cover would have been my best choice. The flimsy cover and expected heft that comes with a study Bible determined my desire for a Bible case with a handle. It was somewhat of a challenge to find one that fit this Bible well, (as mentioned, it's hefty) especially one that had a place for my note pad and pen. Most of them were quite tight. As to Holman's presentation, I appreciate the articles, study notes, maps, and color pictures very much. My only frustration is with the skimpy, skimpy concordance. I sometimes wonder why Holman bothered. Also, there is no abbreviated listing of passages by Topic/Subject, which I found to be a valuable tool in my other Bible.

This Bible is massive in size with much information. It is loaded with maps, charts, background information for each book of the Bible, and explanations of key verses. It also gives timelines for historical biblical events. Good investment for a study Bible.

Gave this as a gift to my grandmother. She says it's too big to carry with her, but is perfect to keep at home for a study Bible and so beautiful we should pass it down through generations.
