My favorite tool!
I love this tool. I was so upset when I lost my other one when I had to purchase this one. It is good for its purpose.

Flexible and very sharp
It's a metal rib just like you'd expect! It was a little sharper than I expected. I definitely took a chunk off my knuckle in the first five minutes, but I didn't feel it! So it is VERY sharp, which is useful for pottery, but fair warning.

Excellent product.
I just started wheel-thrown ceramics classes a year ago, and fell in love with the classes. I bought all my tools in a starters set, but routinely lost this tool. Typically I found it--but finally it was gone--perhaps into the depths of the slop bucket or something. I bought two of these (just in case!), and they work impeccably. And like magic, I stopped losing it too. Great product for a great price.

Perfect scraper!
Super thin - this scraper lets you bend it to accomplish smoothing your wet ceramic pots on the pottery wheel that have different curves to them. You can bend more or less while the pot is spinning and when you release your grip on the scraper it goes right back to flat (like in the package). Use the straight side or curved side to get the results you want. You'll find other uses for it as well.

NOT Boxwood
These tools are made of some kind of soft wood, maybe pine. At first use the points become blunt and they splinter easily. The description is misleading.
