I use this 18 inch leash to control our 60 pound pitbull/border collie mix. He yanks and pulls on my arm with a normal 5 foot leash causing neck and back pain. Using this helps a lot. The foam handle did rip in a couple of places after only 1 week of use, so I rated 4 instead of 5 stars because of that; however, that is cosmetic and did not effect the functioning of the leash at all. And after messaging the seller, they provided excellent customer service by sending a replacement at no cost. This leash doesn't really "stretch", but I don't need it to. Would recommend as a good control tool.

As my 12 year old lab started to go blind and later deaf as well, we needed something shorter to keep him from running into things. This shorter leash kept him close to us as we had hoped. He is no longer with us but this leash met our needs for the month or so that we needed it. Would highly recommend.I did attempt to put it on our 6 year old spunky lab with a leash pulling problem, she pulled pretty hard and it seemed to hold up just fine. I don't know how likely I will be to use it on her while she is young and still tugs the leash, but maybe when she calms down a bit we will come back to this leash.

In May I decided to purchase a back up short leash for my 9 month old English Shephard, who had done some chewing damage to the one worn both by my previous dog for years and by her since she was 8 weeks old. I went to Amazon and purchased the Mycicy short 18" rope leash. I did not open the package or try it on her until last week. When I did in the 15 mins. I took for breakfast it was chewed to0 tiny pieces. I want back to Amazon and ordered a Leashboss short 18" nylon leash and tried it on her two days after its arrival. It took about a 1/2 hr. to have chewed through the leash leaving it hanging precariously together by a few threads.

I love short leashes for big puppies you need to control walking around other dogs or people. This has a comfort grip which makes it even nicer. My son has a very large standard poodle and I can still handle him with a short leash. Long leashes get wrapped around you. This is easy to get on and off him. This is a great leash.

Works well for untrained young german shepard (16 mos). It enables close contact, that doesn't let him get a running start to take off, which is easier on both of us, no big jerk at the end of a longer lead on both of us.

My dog is a pain. She is a lab mix 45# medium in size. She INSISTS on running loose with her leash in her mouth. I was concerned about it getting caught in wooded areas, because of the dragging when running, so, when I purchased this, it was just short enough to catch around her back leg when running full speed ahead.i gave up, switched back to the old leash. She is easier to catch also with a long leash cause I step in it to stop her.

This traffic leash has a very padded grip, it is not painful to hold when you have a 90 pound dog trying to pull you when he sees a squirrel. LOL! Other leashes give rope burn or the metal handles just plain hurt. It's the perfect size for my dog to have just enough space to safely walk next to me without worries of him running out in the street. Good traffic leash. I bought two of them, one to keep in the car and the other for the house. You never know when you might need to significantly decrease the amount of leash room.

These are absolutely awesome for larger dogs. It helps stop untrained dogs from trying to wander around when they aren't used to leashes. Great handle on this too, I hold the handle in my left hand and the collars I use have a sturdy handle for my right hand. 2 hand control is awesome if you are training a dog to walk next to you on a leash.
