I highly recommend 505 adhesive spray for anyone quilting that wants to get rid of using pins to "sandwich" their layers together!

Use in a well ventilated area and be sure to protect surfaces close from any overspray.
I use this product to hold layers together when preparing projects for machine embroidery and also use it to use small quilt layers together when quilting them (without basting).
