Q: What material is made of?

It's a plastic material, best I can tell, however, I was not disappointed in this. It's beautiful. It's small; check the measurements, to make sure it's a size that you would like. The staves are attached, but my cat and my grand-child have each broken one off, so they are a bit fragile. I was able to super glue them back on and keep it up now, out of reach. The lid removes and I actually also ordered three little replicas of the 10 Commandments, the Manna and the blossoming rod of Aaron to keep inside of it. Overall. I was well pleased with it.
