ARMORZ Stealth Extreme R Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Apple iPhone 5 / 5c / 5s

I'm very disappointed on this product.First of all it is falsely advertised by Armorz. At second 17 in the linked video [...] Armorz shows how they hammer a nail onto the screen and it resists the shock with no a single scratch. Then let me ask you this, why when I first dropped my phone from my hip level on tiles the Armorz screen cracked? I was taking my phone out of my pocket and I dropped it on my kitchen tile floor, I'm a shot guy 5.7" so that's low. When I looked at the screen it was crushed on the side and from there I can see a hairline crack that went to another side. My phone had an aluminum bumper on it and that barely has a small scratch, the bumper doesn't interfere with Armorz screen, they're not touching each other at all.I contacted Armorz customer support more than a week ago and I got no answer. I even resent the same email a few days ago with no reply. I am expecting them to refund me or replace this "tempered glass protector" since it's either a defective one or it's just not as good as they advertise it, either way they I deserve to get my money back or get a good unit.I will keep trying sending them emails until they will reply and I will update this review as many times as I need. It is just unacceptable to pay $40 for a protector that they say it resists very hi shocks and it fail from one simple drop.UPDATE 03/09/2014I still haven't heard from Armorz customer service, it's been about 6 weeks since I sent them a few emails. They obviously avoiding to get back to me, I wish they would have a phone number.Since my first review the bottom part of the protection screen right under the main button cracked and started crushing in tiny pieces. This happened on a 3mm area as I said right under the main button.Another thing happened not long ago, I was trying to show a friend of mine what nice glass protection I got on my iphone, I took a small nail and tapped the screen in the center holding the nail in my hand, not too hard, definitely not as hard as they do it in their videos and got 4 cracks all the way to all four edges. I just found another video on youtube named "Armorz Stealth Extreme R: Street Test @ New York City". I could say I hit the screen with the nail easier than the old guy does it in this video, not to talk about the girl with the screwdriver. I promise you if you drop the phone the Armorz screen will crack if it hits concrete.Now please don't get me wrong I love the screen and I wish I knew it's so weak when I bought it, I would have bought a better bumper to protect it if I drop it. I love the finish and the feel of the screen, it's a shame they destroy their name with false advertising.I'll update this review when I have any news.UPDATE 04/29/2014 UPI eventually received a replacement screen, it was with the help of amazon not directly from the manufacturer. They completely ignored my messages.DATE 06/02/2014I dropped the phone and got the protection screen damaged, it's a 5mm area on the edge of it, it's not a crack it's more like a crush. It was just a normal drop not from high at all about 3 ft, the phone had one of those rubber bumper cases which I must admit was a bit loose, after that happened I replaced the bumper cover with a Spigen one, this protects the phone good enough and still looks slick. I believe if I had this bumper on the phone the screen would have not cracked. The crack doesn't bother me anymore, I got use to it, but I would definitely NOT buy this product again.Do not expect from this product to resist to a drop with no damage, it will be ok in your pocket with your keys and who know what else, but definitely is not as solid as they say it is. If you et a good case to protect it when dropped you should be fine. And do not try to show off to your friends what cool screen you got by testing its toughness, you'll be sorry.

I chose only 4 stars due to the perfect steady hands and clean room it requires to get just right but other than that it is a 5 star product. I ended up with a couple bubbles near the corners due to having to re-position the glass but thats not a dealbreaker, i rather have that than no protection. The beveled edges around the home button make a pleasant indention that seems to improve the touchID function by "forcing" your finger into correct position and the edges of the phone feel like there's nothing on the screen. The coating feels as good, if not smoother, as the phone itself and other than the install this is a great product. I've had this for a few weeks paired with a Lunatik Taktik Strike, in not the best enviroments and it has yet to show a scratch from keys and other metal items i keep in my pockets at work. It is worth every penny to protect your high cost device.

The best screen protector I have seen. I have dropped my phone countless times and the screen is still fully intact. It is not invincible, however.The protector has little chips all around its edge from dropping it and there's some minor scratches here and there but that is what it is made for.The surface feels just like the iphone glass which is great. Visually, the display is identical to the iphone without the protector. It does not change the colors whatsoever. The edges of the protector are beveled, so they round down to the screen, which it nice. You will not be able to cut yourself on the edge of the extreme R, unlike other glass protectors with a harder edge.I have tried several cases and it is compatible with most. I don't think it is compatible with life proof or the otterbox, but I haven't tried those to be sure.

It's everything it says it is.I've tried the scratch test myself with just about everything (yes I'm brave) just to see how well this shield does for scratches.I'm amazed there's no scratches and with it on the phone you can't even tell it's on. The beveled feature of the edges is something more companies could use for their products because it 'feels' so good when you rub your finger on the edge. No more hang ups like other screen covers with sharp cut edges.Also the fit on the phone is superb. It is quite easy to get it right when installing and even though I'm off ever so slightly with my alignment it still has no bubbles and only a really good stare could notice it off just a hint.Also the clarity of this screen cover is unmatched. Since it's glass the touch of the screen and clarity is identical to what you get with your 5S and can't tell you're using a screen protector at all. This was one of my concerns with this product.Now I feel safe with my Element bumper cover on the phone and my screen is protected as well.

Pros: Glass feels slick and smooth. The product looks well made. The screen does not scratch at all. The install was relatively easy. But whether its impact protection is up to the marketing expectations remains to be seen as I have not dropped my phone yet. :)Cons: For the price, this screen protector lacks good oil repellant properties and leaves heavy finger prints. And it should offer a decent glare protection because it's difficult to see the screen outside. The other minor problem was that Armorz includes a very crappy lint free cloth to clean the screen before install, but their cloth kept leaving more lint than I had before wiping. I had to use my own cloth to properly clean for install.

Debated whether giving this a 2 or 3 star and decided on 3 just because of the price. The price is great compared to other options for screen protectors, as they are $40+. The screen scratches pretty easy against coins/keys and the screen also cracked after 2 drops. I personally bought this as a throwaway screen just to mess around with, so if you are looking to have this as a actual protector, I would just pony up and spend $20 extra for something that would last.
