I really like the way the book is put together with the back and front covered designed as page markers. I love sharing the book with my friends.

I purchased this as a gift for my mom, who manages and sings in the music program at church. She has to come up with interesting songs that relate to the pastor's message that day. This book contains an interesting background story for each hymn in the book, adding a deeper layer to the selection. It's very pleasing to the eye, nicely laid out, and is perfect as a gift for anyone who loves hymns.

I will try to update in a year if I manage to stick with this. It's A 52 week thing. I got one for me and my father in law. It looks like a good prayer journal that doesn't have require much commitment.

I actually looked on YouTube for songs & heard them played or sung. Very enjoyable and moving when doing it that way.

Not mentioned by the seller, but there were pages torn out of this book (end of Intro and first 2 hymns/devos). Otherwise, it was a clean, tightly bound book. The content is not very deep and not, particularly what I was looking for, but I like that it has many hymns in it and includes the music. I have done better "hymn story" studies that go deeper into Scripture and challenge me spiritually.

My small group is using it for a summer study. Can cover 1-2 hymns per week as stand-alone lessons. Make sure to order the straight book or the one with the prayer journal if you are using in a group. I love the back story of the hymns along with the reflection prompts. I end up humming an old favorite as I go through my day.

Then Sings my Soul - I not only love the hymns but the story behind each one. I also ordered one for a gift and was told they appreciated and love it as much as I do.

Purchased for my mother. She likes it very much. Very informative with history of the hymns. Very nice book. I would recommend. Thank you.
