Renaissance Armor Gorget Neck Plate 18 Gauge Steel

While I don't regret purchasing this gorget, it's worth pointing out that it did not include the extra leather straps attached like the picture shows, at least mine didnt. If you're looking to buy a gorget and attach pauldrons or something else to it, you might want to search elsewhere. Despite this, the item itself is otherwise as described. It's not super heavy, but has some weight (and mass) to it, and the straps that attach the two sides of it seem pretty strong so far. For the price, it's definitely worth considering.

This is a truly well made two piece Gorget, simulated riveting and rolled edge give it period styling and the leather straps and attachment points are strong and secure. The strap adjustments allow both pieces to rest comfortably around the neck. You will however want to wear a Gambeson under it to avoid pinching there the two pieces meet. Nice size for any person large or small framed. I'm 6' 4" 265lbs and it fits me just fine! If you are looking for a solidly made Neck Plate this is your best choice for fit, style and comfort!

I bought this to go with my fencing armor, however it is more decorative than anything, even with a legal gorget it leaves your collarbone open and so really doesn't do anything. It arrived wrapped in plastic with some kind of oil all over it and some kind of resin that came off of the straps that was a pain to get off and discolored it some. It looks good, but if you're going to be wearing armor for a purpose be ready to buy more after this.

I'm thrilled with how this looks. It's bigger and heavier than expected and more durable. There was some packing grease I assume to perfect the plates in shipment, but it took moments to clean. It's not a terribly accommodating piece for busty ladies, but it fits well enough to look nice.

Would have been five star but a buckle was attached incorrectly requiring that I break the rivet holding it in place, correcting the attachment, and installing a new rivet. Nevertheless, I recommend the seller. The item is well made the appearance is highly authentic.

Missing pauldrons straps that are clearly shown in the photo. The whole reason I bought this was so I could actually wear my pauldrons... Well I still won't be able to wear them because this product did not come as shown in the photos.
