I had seen a similar product advertised on the web and since I do a lot of handiwork on my own I knew I really needed this. The cost of the other product was much higher and Im frugal so I went with this seller and I don't regret it one bit. Not only do you get one but two contour gauges. They are accurate giving me a precise cut on any material carpet or tile. I put in carpet and got the exact snug fit around door facings and trim. Cut molding for trim work. Its light and easy to use, made sturdy to last. Such a handy device. It would make anyone that does work around the house a perfect much needed gift. I would purchase this contour gauge again from this seller. The seller was quick to ship I got this in less days it takes to send a letter. Thanks for your product its made my work a lot easier.

Works fairly good, easy and accurate to the extent it is possible with the thickness of each prong. No issues so far, will be helpful for most projects.

Works great! After sitting around the house being picked up and played with off and on by the toddler and the teens for a couple of weeks, I had a chance to actually use it! To split a bedroom down the center, I put up a wall and used this to trace the window ledge and wall moulding so that the plywood and the decorative wall paneling could "wrap around" it. The locking mechanism works, though it feels flimsy as if it might break. But maybe it won't! I would like the plastic tines or teeth or whatever they're more accurately called to be longer, and for there to be more of them (perhaps 18" long product and 12" deep tines). I would also like to see a style that has easier to move around teeth, such as to create a shape in it easily and then lock into place. Then we could use it to trace silhouettes of objects or outlines of drawings or trace hands or whatever and lock it into place to recreate on paper. Otherwise, this is a great product and I am really glad I bought it.

This is amazing! Where the heck was i thinking when I was putting up my crown moulding? It took me days to figure out how to put the ends together without a compound cut. This would have made that job 1,000 times easier! I bought this for my Son who does everything, so I thought he might appreciate it. I was right. He got it in the mail and said " I was going to buy this thing, I have it in my cart on Amazon." Funny how Mom's know everything, after all, we do have eyes behind our head, don't we?! That's what I always taught my Sons! Better yet, if you have a Son, buy it for him, not Dad, because my husband just asks my Son to do everything anyway. If you have two boys get them their own. This way you'll never hear, " I loaned you mine, I need them back by yesterday." I saw them on TV first then I came to my favorite place to shop and bought them for less. Buy it for your husband of he's still handy or your Handy Man. Someone will appreciate these, their fantastic.

The contour gauge quality is good, but does not work in all spaces. If you have to measure a tight corner, these are too wide and not long enough to fit into space. Other than that it okay.

Product arrived very quickly and in a nice box we're going to keep the tool in. My husband has just about every tool ever made....and now he has the best tool for measuring tricky corners, and around all kinds of things! We are working on a flip house, and we are replacing just about everything! This tool helps get all those difficult things to measure done perfectly the first time! Saves supplies, time and frustration! This tool is a real find and we will use it frequently! It is made from great quality materials and is very sturdy. The increased depth of the measuring area is very helpful for the items that are wider. Thanks for making our job much easier!

This product saved the day for me on a project but the tines do get loose after constant use resulting in cautious handling to retain the contours. I tried tightening the screws at the ends of the unit but nada. Guess I'll have to get one with a locking feature.

I used it for window moldings and still. This gage helped me form my sill to fit tightly. The pins slid into to form the shape easily and stayed in place to transform the shape onto another piece. It does not lock the pins into place so you have to be careful not to knock them but they hold sufficiently. The pins themselves are not as thin as steel pins but not an issue. Easy to use and looking forward for other projects. Pleased with them.
