Convenient delivery, good quality for the price
It has only been about two weeks since we received this mattress, but we have found the previous excellent reviews to be accurate. I bought this mattress for my young adult daughter. She likes a soft mattress and has found this to be very comfortable. It feels firm with the coil underpinning, but sleeps soft. I have not slept on it, but the foam layer actually does feel cool to the touch. I plan to check this out myself one night to see if it actually does sleep cool, but my daughter is very cold natured so I wasn't really worried about this for her. The covering is very high quality and after removing mattresses without carry straps, I really appreciated them in getting the bed situated on the frame. It also arrived about a week earlier than Classic Brands indicated it would. I'm not sure if Classic Brands is packaging this differently than when the early reviewers received theirs, but we were really disappointed that we didn't get any of the excitement mentioned by previous reviews. The box was slightly damaged, but the inner plastic coverings were in perfect condition. It came with two layers of regular plastic covering and an inner, thick plastic that compressed the mattress. The shipping company would have to really abuse this box when shipping to get the compressed mattress dirty, in my opinion. We situated the mattress roll on the bed and then carefully removed the first two layers. That left us with the inner plastic that slowly unrolled until we had the compressed mattress flat on the frame. After cutting the thick inner plastic, the mattress slowly inflated. We were all standing around waiting for it to explode open, but all it did was slowly inflate. We were quite disappointed! Given how it was packaged, the only way I could see for any explosive openings would be if you quickly cut through ALL the layers at one time. The mattress was almost completely expanded within a few hours and by the end of 48 hours, it was completely reformed. I measured the height and it was a true 12 inches. If you measured right at the very edge where the seam is, it was slightly less, but if measured a little away from where the edge pulled the topper together, it was the full size advertised. There was a little smell that you often get outgassing from new textiles, but the smell was pretty much gone after a couple of days. I do agree that the purchaser should plan on the mattress needing two or three days before sleeping on it. If I had been willing to shop at several different locations, I might have been able to find a good mattress at a slightly cheaper price, but the ease of having this delivered to the door in a "small" roll was rather nice. Given the look and feel of this mattress, I have high hopes that it will last for a good number of years. We'll see.

Great mattress!
I have been sleeping on this mattress since September and I have been extremely happy with it. I actually very rarely leave reviews for products but I had a difficult time finding a good mattress that fit my very limited budget when I decided to purchase this one and wanted to chime in on the good reviews for this product! This mattress arrived quickly and was well packaged. I purchased it specifically for a move and it took up very little space in my Uhaul. I opened it first thing when I got to my new house as it said it needed time to fully inflate but it popped right up out of the package almost immediately and slept great that night (only about 6 or 7 hours from the time I opened it.) The mattress was in great condition with no shipping damage, the covering and seams are all well made and high quality. Several reviews for some of these box mattresses mentioned that the outer walls felt flimsy-- but this mattress looks and feels structurally like the quality you would expect from a traditional mattress store (even better quality than some of the lower-end models of name brand products, in my opinion after shopping many of them before I went with this.) There was no chemical or packaging odors (also something else some reviews for boxed mattresses mentioned that I am very sensitive to and was worried about.) It sleeps very firm- which I like and was specifically looking for- but does not feel hard. I am often a side sleeper which sometimes doesn't work out well with firm mattresses and I have never experienced pain from side sleeping with this mattress. What prompted me to write this review was taking my mattress cover off this morning for a wash and noticing how this mattress still looks brand new (pictures are from today)! My last new mattress purchase was a baseline model of a Serta pillow top and within about three months I started to get VERY noticeable indentations in it, which they told me made it ineligible for any warranty returns. After 6 months there are no indentations in this mattress, the cover is in perfect shape, and it continues to be extremely comfortable. I have been very pleased with this product-- far beyond my expectations-- and am blown away by how great it has been for the price point. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a firm, good quality mattress on a budget!

These compare in quality to Stearns and Foster mattresses (according to my wife, who fell in love with one of those...)
We purchased 2 twin XL mattresses to go with our twin XL adjustable bases (these are known as 'split king' in some areas). We had the bases sync'd together under our previous king size mattress and it was great; until we went to sleep. There were times that I wanted to be in a 'zero G' position, but my wife was sleeping on her side, so... After waking up one morning, I decided enough was enough and we need to split (beds, that is!), so we went looking at mattresses and was totally shocked by the costs on 'some' mattresses. You've seen them, I'm sure. Now some of those mattresses might be just like sleeping on a cloud that's constantly refreshed and rocked by angels, but I'll never know, because I won't pay $2000 for a twin XL mattress! Holy cow! So, we headed to Amazon. Now buying a mattress online, without a means to test drive it, is a little daunting to say the least. After cruising through several brands and dozens of reviews, we settled on this one! We're only about 2 weeks in on these and are very pleased that we went with this brand and style. I've uploaded a video to show the unpacking. The UPS delivery tracking stated '73 lbs' per box and they were packed in 2 separate boxes, about the width of the mattress (imagine that!). You'll see me hauling these in. I'm 6' 4" and 320 lbs, so they weren't a big deal for me to get them in, but be careful if you aren't a moose, just get some help. I would have, if I needed it. I took them downstairs to unwrap and let them air out. They're wrapped up in a vacuum packed bundle, with tape around the roll. The roll is about 13"-15" inches for the twin XL units. Being super careful while using a knife to cut the tape and unroll each one, they start to expand really well once you've unrolled them. The first one that we unwrapped, you can see my son reacting to the high-pitched whistle of air being sucked into the bag! They do have a pretty strong 'gel-foam' aroma when unboxed, but it decreases a lot by the next day. It takes a few days to go away completely. We purchased mattress covers to go on them and that helped A LOT with the smell ! Sleep Tite by Malouf® Hypoallergenic 100% Waterproof Mattress Protector- 15-Year Warranty - Twin XL Once fully 'inflated', the mattress lives up to it's billing of 14", so you'll want to be really careful picking out sheets. We got a set of flannels that listed as 'fitting to 16 inches' but there's no way that was true. Maybe 16 inches if you compress it and let it snap back...! There might be people who will tell you "yeah, but ours has this warranty" or " we'll be here if you ever have a problem with it" or something to that effect, but you're not really going to have better luck with them, and you almost certainly will NOT get a better nights sleep that makes up for the $1700 difference in price! Overall, for the cost/comfort ratio, these mattresses are working out very well !! I'll post updates periodically to let you know how well they do over time! ****UPDATE**** It's been a bit over a month since we got these, and they're still GREAT! We have these on adjustable bases and they are able to flex sufficiently to get into any of the positions that the bases can do! I'm sleeping great and between these and the 'zero G' option on the base, my near constant lower back pain is gone! I wake up in the mornings without pain! That, by itself, is worth the cost of the mattresses and the bases! The mattresses are doing their job, and they have no sags or any other 'breakdown' type issues, like dipping sides. Though, with this set, they're pretty tall, so they don't get sat on a lot by anyone, just looking to chat in the mornings. I'll keep you posted! ****2nd UPDATE**** It's been 4 months now and these mattresses are still doing their job! I'm very pleased! For these to be worth it (for me) they'll need to hit 2 years, so I'll keep you posted. Still no issues with 'perma-dents' or anything like that and I'm still low-back pain-free in the mornings! Yay! I think the only thing that *still* gets me is the height! Man, these things are tall. As a result, I need to wiggle about a bit to get positioned where I want. Before, I'd just kinda 'drop-roll' because the mattress was lower and that would get me where I need to be, but not with this set! Oh well! ;) ****3rd UPDATE**** It's now been over a year and I'm still very happy with this mattress. A couple of things that I've discovered that may help someone is, 1) use a mattress cover of some kind, and 2) you'll need 'tall' bottom sheets, of good quality and that should help a lot with the overheating. I still don't have any break-down on the sides or the top (no low spots or sinking!) I'm still using this mattress on the adjustable base and it's still in great shape! So far, a good value for the money. If I can get another couple of years out of it, I'll be happy! That's about the time that I'll be looking for something else (I'm getting older after all!). ;)

My most thorough review of a product...
Okay so this is going to be the most thorough review I've ever given on amazon because mattresses are an important buy and very risky to do just based off of reviews online. My intention for this mattress was to get a cheap, medium-firm, hybrid mattress. After doing about 3 months of research this one was the one I found the be the best deal, the best product, and have the best reviews (after ignoring all the spam reviews and ultra negative ones). So, is this mattress cheap in price? Yes. Especially compared to the name brand counterparts. Is it the most cheap mattress on amazon? No, but you're getting you money's worth with buying this compared to a potential crappy $150 mattress. Is this mattress medium- firm? Yes. A lot of other reviewers say it's too hard and not plush enough. To me, everyone has different opinions on what constitutes a firm or soft mattress based off of their own experiences. I can confirm that it is a firm bed with a mild sink to it due to the memory foam. Is this mattress a hybrid? Yes. I've had this mattress for a week now and it's holding up. The following are some things I've noticed that I was not informed of based off of other reviews. I'll update this as time continues. 1) The box came heavily beaten up but the product was fine. Can't expect much since this thing weights 60+ lbs. 2) This thing is heavy. I got a full sized mattress and it took me awhile to get it up the stairs. 3) I didn't notice a smell that other reviewers were noting, but just in case I sprayed some tea tree oil on it to mask a smell just in case. 4) My mattress 'inflated' within seconds to it's full size. I was planning on letting it rise for 24 hours in case it didn't inflate fast enough. Is this the most fantastic mattress I'v ever slept on? No. But it's a good one for the price so I'm not expecting cloud 9. It's a good mattress thus far and I'm hoping it'll hold up over time. I'll update as time progresses. 1 Month Later: Things are still holding up. There's no sagging in the middle or on the sides. The firmness is still holding up. I forgot to mention this before, but this thing is VERY deep. I could barely get my deep pocketed sheets over it. 10 months later: still holding up little more of a bounce not as firm as when I bought it (as to be expected) still very comfortable no issue with the edges sagging.

Exactly the Right Size for My Little Family (Cal King)
I'm big, y'all. I'm 6'4, nearly 400lbs. So even though my girlfriend is a totally average size, my old Queen bed (same kind, by the way) wasn't really big enough. I was single when I bought it, though, so I'd just lay diagonally across it and it was all good. When we moved in together last year, though, it slowly became obvious that it wasn't cutting it. Every day I'd wake up with my feet hanging off, and pretty often even when I came to bed she'd be taking up just slightly too much of it. Bummer. Then we got a big chubby old Staffy mix, a rescue from a bad situation. And he was a cuddler. Poor baby didn't get nearly enough affection for his whole life, which obviously means WE were gonna insist on cuddling as often as possible. But by god, that bed was NOT big enough for all of us. THIS bed is, though. By comparison, this is like an ocean of pillowtop waves we have to swim across to even touch. If I lay across as much of the bed as possible, both she and our bubby still fit perfectly comfortably for cuddles. Maybe not restful sleep, but certainly a comfy nap at least. We bought a staircase for the dog to come up into the bed more easily, so now he wanders up in the middle of the night and lays down between us, which is adorable. And, more to the point, it's only possible for him to do that because this bed is so big. It's. AWESOME. If you have a little family of your own, maybe several pets, kids, etc, this is the correct bed. It's soft and springy but firm as well - Again, I weight almost 400 lbs and I sleep ten hours every night in one spot and neither THIS bed nor my PREVIOUS one (the Queen) sank in even a little bit. It feels great after hard days on set (I'm a content marketing specialist and creative director, so I'm sometimes tasked with helping on productions - I'm also always the biggest dude on set, so, guess who carries all the big stuff haha), and on days off when it's possible to sleep in and cuddle my baby girl and my little man, more the better. This is a VERY good bed. Pro Tip, though - when you get it in the mail and start cutting it open and everything, make sure it's LEVEL while it's expanding and DON'T let anyone or anything get on it until it's been at least one full day. To accomplish this in our case (with our bubby, who loves to lay on soft things), we put it up on the dining room table and propped up the corners using our chairs. That way it stayed flat and stayed up off the ground. Second pro tip, after it seems like it's all expanded, go around the outside edge and "yank" up on just the pillowtop. It'll kind of sound like really faint "tearing" almost, but all you're doing is making sure that the pillowtop gel-foam isn't sticking to the other stuff in the bed, meaning it'll actually expand evenly instead just along the lines it's stuck to. You can actually pull up on it in the middle, too, just do the outside first so you know how it feels and sounds when you do it correctly. And ROTATE YOUR MATTRESS - why doesn't anyone teach kids about this stuff anymore?

I'm obsessed already.
I got this mattress yesterday and it has solved all my problems. I recently decided to move across the country to be closer to my boyfriend. I had been living at my parents (originally temporarily but then I got used to being taken care of) and the move meant buying a mattress, among other things. Today is Friday, I got to my new area on Tuesday. And let me tell you about my last few weeks. All last week I was at a church camp sleeping on thin mattress cabin beds. Last weekend, I took a trip with some friends where the bed was firm as a rock. No give. Worse than the cabin beds. This week, I ended sleeping in a hotel again to make my drive across the country and that mattress wasn't better than the first hotel. And I have been sleeping on my boyfriend's couch (cause it's comfier than his bed) until this mattress got here. All that on top of, ending a job I love, packing all my stuff, saying goodbye to friends and family, driving nonstop for 2 days, adjusting to a more self-sufficient lifestyle and not depending on my parents for my basic needs, between all of that, this girl has worked up some stress and tension. I was hesitant to get this bed A. Because now I only have $30 to live on until I start getting paid at my new job. And B. Mama's got big ole hips. And they need cushion. And seeing this mattress listed as firm made me VERY nervous. Especially after my extremely firm sleep conditions the last 2 weeks. After waiting more anxiously than I ever have for any package ever, this bad boy finally came, and last night was a RELIEF. For the first time in 2 weeks, I got rest. I slept through the night. I'm waking up with feeling in my hips. And I woke up smiling. This mattress is firm. But not in a you're-pretty-much-sleeping-on-a-slab-of-wood kind of way. It supports you body and craddles it. It gives in the areas you need. It's is soft and cozy. I did spend a little more on this bed than my budget allowed for but I am glad that I spent the time finding a mattress that would be good quality and last, rather than picking something cheaper. I'm hoping this baby lasts me a while. Moving and starting a new life is S T R E S S F U L. Let me tell you. But this band boy is already making it easier and I'm glad I picked it.

Great mattress!
I did a lot of research and read many different reviews then chose this to replace my daughter's spring mattress on a slat frame which she wasn't sleeping well on. She couldn't be happier with this new mattress! It goes perfectly on her wood slat frame and there are no squeaks or noises like with her old one, and she says it's the most comfortable mattress she's ever slept on. There is a slight "new" smell but right out of the plastic, it inflated to nearly full size immediately, and she slept on it the same night. The factory smell didn't bother her, but you could use an air purifier or open a window until it fades. I like that the coils are individually wrapped so it will be quieter for her with less waking up tossing & turning during the night which she said was happening with her old spring mattress, so this mattress is a vast improvement. I must say, some of the "negative" reviews seem shady, right? Comfort is subjective of course and everyone is different, but seriously, who gets out a measuring tape and gets bent out of shape over a half inch? Or claims that creepy crawlies could possibly live in an airless compressed tightly wrapped environment? This mattress came fully compressed with all air removed and was so tightly rolled in several layers of plastic so it's highly unlikely anything could survive in an airless environment, making the single disturbing negative review about "bedbugs" doubtful, which could have been instigated by a competitor, or, if a real person, didn't realize they already had them. Either way, using diatomaceous earth in the crevices should help keep it creepy free regardless; although, it's highly unlikely that a brand new tightly wrapped airless compressed mattress could contain an adult bedbug as was depicted in the 'one photo' since bugs can't survive without air, which is a scientific fact. Also, would 1/2 inch on a 10 inch tall mattress make a discernible difference? For reference, my daughter's mattress inflated immediately and reached full height within 24 hrs, but above all, she says it's SUPER COMFORTABLE. Hers arrived brand new, compressed, clean, and as described. So far, so good. Anyway, hope this helps put your mind at ease, it's a great mattress and I may get another one in the future. Be aware that it's super heavy, I had to help my delivery person carry it, and it took the full ten days to get here, but worth the wait. Make sure you position it on your frame or wherever you want it to be before cutting & unrolling the plastic since it inflates super quick, and you'll need help if you can't lift anything heavy. I might update after some time, but so far it's a great mattress and my daughter says she is sleeping better than ever. Plus, she notices any bump or squeak like "princess and the pea". So, for this mattress to have her stamp of approval, it must be truly comfortable... zzz zzz

Not quite three months and it’s beginning to sag.
Updating my review. One month later the mattress continues to sag in the middle becoming more and more uncomfortable. My back is just killing me and as a senior on a fixed incomeI can’t afford another mattress. It was Amazon that decided I could not return the mattress even though I was within the three month return time when I contacted them. Because I was not going to be at home when they needed to pick it up, I was not allowed to return it. I would love any ideas about how to follow this up. I have talked to Amazon customer service with the result. I just mentioned. When I contacted the seller, I was told I had to work through Amazon. This is having terrible consequences for me. I was really hopeful about this mattress when I read so many great reviews. First, I will mention that my mattress looked nothing like the one in the pictures. It was very comfortable for the first month that I had it. Although it is not sagging a lot, it is noticeably starting to not be flat. I think this might be satisfactory for some people, but I have a back and hip injury and I need to have a firm surface underneath me. I am a single sleeper in this bed and a bit heavy. It might not be so bad for a smaller person or two smaller people who would even it out. The price was very good I tried to return it when the return date was still a week away, but they needed to pick it up from me a week later and I was traveling to my daughter‘s for three weeks. They basically told me I could try to return it when I got back, but that it would not be likely that it would be accepted. Then they sent me return information to complete immediately, so I never followed up. I thought I had posted this review but when I came back now to update it, I see I had not submitted it. So now, a month later, it is sagging even more. I’m very disappointed and it’s challenging trying to find another affordable mattress. I wish I had kept my previous one.
