I LOVE THE PUMICE!
When I think of pumice, I think of the stone that removes gross skin from my feet. And I hate feet. This is not that type of pumice. This is the holy grail of pumice. This pumice works on things like tile and those pesky glass cooktops. And it doesn't scratch! My glass cooktop looks new!But let's talk about my 65-year-old bathroom, shall we? The ceramic tile had a gross film, dried epoxy, dried caulk, dried grout. Not having the energy to replace the floor, I decided to park my a$$ on the floor with my pumice. And then...off come the goo, off comes the epoxy, off comes the caulk, and goodbye paint! It strips rust stains immediately, btw. The tile looks clean and bright! Then I turned my attention to the marble threshold. Warning, it will scratch marble but I did not care. Wow! Minimal effort and the grossness just melts away!Things you should know:It makes a right mess. The pumice is soft and quickly turns to dust when scrubbing. I kept my vacuum handy and no issue. When I was all done, a quick steam mop ensured any stray dust was captured. It works best dry. Use a cleaner later. It disintegrates pretty quickly if you're using it on a really dirty area. I used almost two sticks to do the cook top once, the entire bath floor, and the threshold. Absolutely worth it though. Amazing! I can't wait to do the bottom of my pans!

Pumice, you have been with me lo, these ...
Pumice, you have been with me lo, these many years, yet I did not really know you! How could I be so dense as to not see your many uses beyond that to which my narrow vision limited me? It was not until I ordered and received this particular product, was I made aware that you are so much more than I could have imagined. My association with you was so mundane...we, you and I, have scrubbed so many toilets over the last ten years in different homes cursed with mineral laden water in which the insidious water left unsightly and tenacious rings that yielded to no other safe cleaning product other than you, mighty pumice. Please don't misunderstand me and construe that I think less of you by associating you with toilets. Although it is true that i did, it was not from a judgment based on snobbery, it was because I did not know! For that I humbly apologize.I remember that first time we were together. I held you in my hand as I gazed down at the awful ring whispering in my mind that if I scrubbed the ring with you I would deface the not so shiny porcelain of the toilet bowl. You urged me on, to have faith, to believe in you, to believe in myself and...I did it! I placed you against the odious ring and began scrubbing. I scrubbed not gently but forcefully, caring not if we damaged the porcelain. I opened my eyes wondering what I would see. I beheld the banishment of the ring, The porcelain was unharmed and once again shiny, You, pumice, had triumphed and a relationship was born that endures to this day stronger and closer with each passing ring. RIP.And so, gentle reader, not only does pumice succeed with toilet bowls' seemingly unconquerable stains, but it has many other uses as well. Curious? Read the product information and you will find uses of which I was unaware, and perhaps you as well. Pumice contains no harmful substances (except to various stains as they deserve), it is a natural product, safe to septic systems, inexpensive, and very effective. I bid you well.

But recently I've learned after reading reviews that people love them for cleaning tile in swimming pools
Sure, these things are tops for porcelain toilet bowl rings - used them for decades in this regard. But recently I've learned after reading reviews that people love them for cleaning tile in swimming pools. So I tried taking them right into the porcelain tile shower stall. Nothing else compares - nothing. Burns right through the heaviest mineral and calcium deposits. Makes porcelain tile shine like new again with zero damage. You can use them right on the flat, clear glass door as well. Use the smaller end rather than the whole thing flat against the wall as porcelain tiles are not perfectly flat - you'll see what I mean. Takes a little effort and time (but not too much), and is absolutely worth it - you will be amazed. Don't use them on anything but porcelain or real glass doors or you'll be sorry. A four pack can do an entire nominally sized stall. Save the small leftover wedge(s) and use them to burn off the mineral deposits within your porcelain sinks too - works perfectly, but don't get lazy and drag it over the metal drain parts as it will scratch them - just use care and you'll be fine.P.S. - These things are made of volcanic rock - pumice. They're softer than porcelain, but harder than mineral deposits. They WILL scratch softer materials - faux porcelain & ceramics, metals, plastics and other natural and man-made materials - they will scratch a lot of surfaces, so be careful. Don't mistake porcelain tile with ceramic tile - different stuff.

works when nothing else does
Works excellent for stubborn hard water stains in the toilet. Works when no other toilet bowl cleaner, lime away, CLR would make a dent in the stain. It does disintegrate pretty quickly, but when nothing else works it is SO worth it. Caution to people commenting/asking about using this on fiberglass showers, etc- this is a natural stone product and will scratch, use with caution, or not at all (on fiberglass!).
