Geneva Clock Company 2065AT Advance Quartz Alarm Clock

I knocked mine off the nightstand and the little wheel to adjust the time got lost, so this is the replacement. I bought a series of electric analog clocks a number of years ago through Amazon and found that they had a bright little light near one of the numbers to illuminate the dial and that was disturbing. And, I found out that the plug-in operated the light, not the clock which depended on a battery. So, I switched to a battery operated clock. This one doesn't tick loudly. The dial stays dark until you press the button on the front to illuminate it --- not glaring as the plug in analog clocks seem to be. If it is supposed to glow in the dark, it doesn't, at least not enough to disturb you. I put a battery in at the beginning in August, 2012 and had to replace it only once.

Nice looking clock and right size but the second hand ticking is way too loud at night. The tick, tick,tick will get you crazy and keep you up if you have normal hearing. If the manufacturer could muzzle the second hand they would sell many more I'm sure.

The clock pictured is EXACTLY the clock I broke and wanted to replace. The size was perfect.....unfortunately what I received in the mail was something TOTALLY different....and too big. I am not going to go through the hassle of returning it, but I still need to find another clock the same size. Disappointed.

I purchased this clock for the nightstand in our RV. I have an identical clock that is older and love it. Overall, this clock is exactly what I was hoping for; however, the second hand is very loud. Other reviews stated the same thing, however, my older version does not have this issue, so I bought this one. The first night I used it, it was loud. The second night, I stuck it under my pillow in the corner of the bed. By the third night, I ended up putting it in the overhead closet above the bed under a pile of clothes. It is an issue if you are a very light sleeper. I do like the light for the clock face, so you can see it at night.

I purchased two of these because I have an old one that I like very much. However the new ones have a black alarm-set hand instead of a yellow on the older one. (The product picture shows a yellow alarm-set hand.) Even though the hand is smaller than the hour and minute hands, because of the color I find it confusing when quickly glancing at the clock.

Perfect for travel and home..easy to read.., alarm is loud enough, and the night light / snooze button is wonderful! This is my third model in 12 years( the other two still work).! A great buy, and worth it...my cell works too..but this alarm makes me sure I will get my day started on time.

Every time the second hand advances (i.e. once a second), it makes a bang that is loud enough to wake the dead! Don't buy this, unless you're deaf.
