Best for Keeping your Vermont Casting grill going!
We grill all year round and our VT Castings grill is over 20 years old. Burners, Cover plates and regulator and regulator take the most wear and tear. I go through a set of burners and plates every 3 years of so. These work. For regulator I've done best with DOZYANT 24". They are solid. Happy Grilling!

Inexpensive, Fits with Modifications
I have a Vermont Castings VM450SSP. I've included pictures to explain how I modified the tubes to make them work for me. The numbers on the first image correspond to the numbers below.1. I opened the flue up about 2/3 of the way.2. I used a hammer to knock off the flange that was preventing the tube from connecting properly to the gas outlet on the grill. I still left the flange on, just loose. You could reweld it if you wanted, but I don't think it needs to be welded. I was able to put the igniter through the hole on the bottom of the flange.3. Hammer the end piece so that it is at more of an open angle... This way it'll hold securely in place. (See the second picture for what it should look like; the circled one is correct). So, overall this saved me a lot of money, it took a bit of time and elbow grease to make it fit. I'm not sure how long these tubes will last, but they seem sturdy. The heat plates fit perfectly.

Install may take longer than expected!
I thought the install of new burners might take an hour or so--but it took most of the day because parts were rusted together. If the innards of your grill are heavily rusted, read on for a few tips. (My Vermont Castings VCS 4007 was heavily rusted.)1. On my grill, there are three screws inside the grill holding the edge of the narrow front SS shelf and two nuts on the left and right for bolts holding the shelf. Wire brush these five fasteners and apply penetrating oil and let it work. Also apply penetrating oil to the four screws on the inside of the left and right condiment trays.2. On my grill the screws on the inside of the narrow shelf were essentially welded in place. I was able to remove them with an impact driver, but it also took out the metal they were screwed into. Had to drill new holes and install new screws for remounting. Also, on my grill, the top shelf support bolts connected to the rusted nut inside the grill would not budge. (If yours moves, loosen but do not remove these bolts.)3. Remove all four screws on the grill-side of each condiment shelf (I replaced all of these screws with new SS sheet metal screws when reinstalling).4. With the two shelf support bolts on each side loosened and the the 11 screws holding the narrow shelf and condiment trays removed, you should now be able to rotate the narrow shelf off the grill for access to the gas lines behind the control panel.5. Remove the two (in my case) gas lines. Larger one used a 3/4 wrench. Rotate the control panel down to access screws to remove heat shield.6. Remove the old burners (in my case, they just pulled off the side of the grill as the side of the grill was heavily rusted.) If your grill is not heavily rusted, removing the screws holding the burners may be difficult. I was also replacing the igniter electrodes (highly recommended), so I cut the electrode wires to facilitate removal.)7. Install new igniters on new burners. My igniters did not come with screws for attachment--have some #6 and #8 SS sheet metal screws on hand. Note where igniter wires attach on the8. The new burners were slightly too long and had to be force into place. I also purchased burner reinforcement plates, as the wall of the grill was rusted. The holes in the burner mounting plate were also too small for the screw in the reinforcement plate and had to be enlarged. (Make the hole in the burner mounting plate large enough to give the screw some wiggle room, as these screws cross-thread VERY easily, causing another problem. Also, do not use a driver drill when installing these screws.) The reinforcing plates also came with no instructions: the bent edge goes down and over the outside bottom edge of the grill and the gasket goes on the inside of the grill against the burner mounting plate.9. Once new burners and igniters are in place, reassemble the grill--hopefully yours comes apart and goes back together easier than mine!

Worked beautifully in my Vermont Castings VM400 grill
These look to be the best set of replacement parts I've purchased for this grill. The last set of burner tubes I had purchased needed quite a bit of adjustment to position the spark electrode so it would reliably light the grill. With these, very little adjustment was required. They look to be of very high quality, and putting them in was like buying a brand-new grill: I now have a reliable spark and better flame, and the grill reaches higher temperatures very quickly.

Fits well, doesn't last long
This kit fit well and was easy to installHowever the burner developed larger holes about 15-16 months in and at 20 months and only moderate use, it looks like this.It was one of three burners, and the other two are discolored similarly but have not crumbled.Just one bad burner? Are the others about to go? Who knows.... But these don't appear to be a good value to me.

New grill!
I picked up a grill on a Marketplace for $100 and this was a very cheap and easy fix. I've seen other reviews stating you have to bend some of the tabs but in my case I did not. Everything went together very easily. Very impressed like it a lot! And yes they are a lot lighter than the original ones so hopefully they will last a while. I cook on the grill all year round and for Michigan Winters it can get a little cold.
