Trimaco 396590 Easy Mask Tape & Drape, Blue Tape 2-ft X 90-ft, Foot

Very disappointed! Do not use Trimaco Drape & Tape where it is exposed to direct sunlight. I used it to cover a boat engine and the sun seems to have broken down some chemical in the plastic (not the adhesive blue tape part). There is a residue in the spots where the plastic drape material made contact with the engine paint. I have not been able to remove the residue with normal cleaning products and I don't want to damage the engine paint with more aggressive cleaners.

This has got to be one of the most useful inventions ever! I spray painted my brassy shower doors a silver color. Spray painting indoors is a pretty messy task. This stuff protected my walls and floor from the overspray. It took me forever to mask off the frame, but then I applied this over the masking tape. Super quick and easy to use. The clinginess of the plastic film helps with the application process. You can even use it vertically! I will definitely use it for my next painting project.

Unfortunately, this product doesn't stick to the wall properly. It kept falling and eventually, the after work ended up being more than necessary to touch up the spots that had loose tape on. The idea of tape and plastic is fantastic though. I hope the manufacturer improves the stickiness of the product.

If ledt on more than 24 hours leaves residue and the tape rips and needs to be scraped off. But its three stars because before 24 hours it was great to work with little to no seepage on edges.

I was using the PlazMask Pre-Taped Masking Film and at the time of reorder got this one instead because it was a little cheaper. Big mistake. The tape did not stick even after being pressed down for a second time and the air pressure of the spray gun dislodged the tape. Ruined my efforts and had to redo. I do not like to write negative reviews. If I do not like the product I just do not buy it again but this product needs some serious improvement on the adhesive. Until the manufacturer fixes the problem stay away.

Removed a popcorn ceiling in my hallway. This was amazing - I put it up and didn't have to remove photos from the walls. Once I was done with removal, re-texture, prime and paint I took it down. So satisfying to not have to clean the wall and re hang the photos after the labor of the popcorn removal and re-texture.

Used this to tape off and cover my windows when painting the walls, as well as for protecting my carpet while painting the trim. I was surprised that it stuck so well to the carpet. When taping off to paint the trim, I unrolled about 2 feet at a time, laid it close to the edge of the baseboard, pulled it taught and pushed it under the boards just a bit. It completely protected my carpet and stayed stuck. Two things though: when pulling out the drape, hold the tape in place. Sometimes the drape gets stuck, depending on how you laid it down. Also, for the entire 75' I had the tape tear 2-3 times near the end. This was remedied by making sure I pulled straight off the roll. All in all a great product, will buy again!

This is the only way to go when you are spray painting an entire house. This product cuts down your masking time a lot ! I masked/covered an entire kitchen in less than an hour with this. (kitchen cabinets, fridge, etc). I could not find this size in the local stores, but Amazon came through, as usual. What did we ever do without Amazon ?

Works great good quality tape, have repurchased a couple times.

Terrible. The tape wouldn't peel off properly, just ripped. If it wasn't ripped up and ruined I would have returned it.
