Aran CraftsWomen's Irish Soft Cable Knitted Side Zip Coat (100% Merino Wool)

Due to reviews saying to size down, I ordered a small instead of a medium, and now have to return it because it's too small in the chest for me (I'm a 36D)...so I would order your regular size unless you have a small bust line. The quality of the garment itself is outstanding and I can't remember the last time I've been this impressed with a piece of clothing. The wool is thick and very warm, but not itchy at all. I did find the sweater to be a bit heavy on my shoulders since it's a long, thick wool coat...I may order the shorter version of this to reduce the weight of it. Of course wool like this is best spot cleaned only (it'll shrink badly if you wash it), but I find as along as I wear a shirt under it that's not deal breaker for me.

I purchased this as a gift and it was well received. The weave is good. The zipper is a bit temperamental, but perhaps it will get more co-operative with use. My main complaint is that it was a Christmas present ordered the first week of December, but did not arrive until February.

Sooo soft! A bit big but very cozy. Ordered a large. I’m bigger in the chest and have small hips .Sleeves are a bit long but I can have extra warm hands! The cost to buy direct from manufacture in Ireland is much more due to customs and shipping, I love the color, style and softness! Great value and lots of “ where did you get that” It’s sooo cute, comments from the ladies.

This is a great investment sweater. I inherited another Aran Crafts sweater from my mom six years ago and loved it so much that I bought myself one in a different color and style. I was not disappointed. It's such great quality that I know it will also last me years to come. The knit design is beautiful and intricate; photos don't do it justice. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a cardigan style of this sweater a couple of years ago on Amazon. It was awesome, but too warm for our climate. We recently moved to a colder place and I immediately thought of this sweater. The longer version is beautiful, flattering and WARM! The quality is so impressive and the style is a little different than the traditional, which is a plus for me. Amazon suggested size large for me, but my other one was a medium, so that's what I bought. Fits perfectly.

Perfect fit, which is not often the case for me (narrow shoulders and chest but not petite/short). Color nicer than expected. Can be worn open at collar or fully unzipped (if you fold both sides of collar down and flat against your chest), as well as fully zipped (as pictured). I have only just received and tried it on so I can't comment on warmth or durability, but I think it's a keeper.

Great for cozy warmth and convenience. I bought it a size larger and washed, then air-dried it. (The fuzz and pills are uniform, and become part of the look.)Looks like a sweater, warms like a coat...but breathes well indoors (without a coat’s acetate lining.)

Perfect fit, perfect softness, warmth is amazing.. and I'm quite picky about quality clothes. I find that I'm wearing them all the time, with just about everything! LOVE ! Thank you Aran Crafts for your excellent quality and workmanship.
