GPI - EZ-8 Fuel Transfer Pump, Manual Shut-Off Nozzle with Direct Mount, 8 GPM, 12 Volt (137100-01)

Great Pump, especially for the price! We would give it 5 stars, but the pump nozzle doesn’t come with a way to lock it or the pump.We installed this on a Lund 55 gallon Black Diamond Plate Diesel transfer tank. Pump is easy to install and works well. Though the directions aren’t very good. Pump doesn’t. One with any kind of filter. We added an inline filter for about $45 including a longer fitting to make room for the filter.We used Gasoila instead of thread tape for leakproof joints. One of the fitting was cross threaded, very minor problem that were easily fixed with a trip to the local big box store or you can call the manufacturer for replacement. ****** Update***** As of today the pump has totally quit, apparently the motor has burned up. Has not even been a year! When it worked the pump was noisy but very fast. We used 2-3 times a month till now. Now we have 30 gallons in the tank and no way to transfer it without buying a new pump. For $250.00 + you would except it to last more than 9 months.

This is a very nice pump setup.I have only used it once but so far its working fine.Im using it for off road diesel. I put a water separator filter on the hose to help catch water and junk before it hits the tank.We always used gpi pumps at work so I know they last a very long time.I will update the review after I use it for a few months.

The closest thing to going to the gas station. High quality construction and materials. Started out using 5 gallon gas cans and hand-filling the gas tank in my pickup (heavy and time consuming). Next I used a hand cranked pump from Harbor Freight and a fuel drum but the gaskets started leaking on two different pumps after only a few months of use. I don't think that the materials in the pump are designed for gasoline. The EZ-8 and required 12 volt battery is costly but is very easy to use and will (hopefully) last a lot longer than the Harbor Freight hand pump.

I used to have a handpump to refuel tractors out of 55 gallon storage drums and when it gave up after years of service, I got this. It fits the barrels and works faster and easier. It does not come with a tank vent, so I added it to avoid vacuum inside the drums.For the price I wish it came with an automatic nozzle (I added one afterwards) but it works flawless for pumping diesel into my tractors.

This was a great fuel pump until the internal gears stripped out on me. They make a rebuild kit yes, but you have to order it from GPI. The internal gears only lasted 11 months.

Worked as it should. Plenty powerful to fill up any tank. Don't expect it to last the winter in a tank in the bed of a truck. Purchased back in August and by April water got in and rusted the motor. If you keep it out of the weather I'm sure it would last longer. The next one we will silicone any place water could get in, maybe it will last longer than 8 months...
