"Working" glasses is exactly what they are. Yes, they're great for a huge serving of cold drinks (and I love being able to put a top on any leftovers and slide the glass into the fridge for the next time). But how about all these other possibilities? 1) Heat up in the microwave a full pint of soup to fill your body and soul (without microwaving the top, of course). 2) Freeze mint and basil leaves, with or without ice cubes, so that you're ready to make a mojito on a moment's notice (this time of course, use the top). 3) Prepare ready-to-serve glasses of iced tea or iced coffee and pull out from the fridge in two seconds to serve. 4) Bring a family-sized amount of salad dressing or strawberry sauce to serve with salad or a fruit dessert at a picnic (yes, I've found the tops spill-proof!). 5) Make up a massive serving of hot tea or coffee, save any that's unfinished, and microwave to heat up the leftovers. Yes, these beauties are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe, and they're a real prize. Pretty sturdy, too -- although they really don't like being dropped on a concrete floor from counter height. But they'll roll around in a car, thwack themselves against a door rim to bring their flight to a crashing halt, and still come out unfazed with their contents safely preserved. As must be clear, we use them all the time in our house and have for decades. What a win!P.S. Great for bringing single massive servings of cold tea or coffee to a picnic table or travel chairs or blanket for lazy consumption, but don't count on using as travel cups in the car -- they're just a little too wide at the base to fit securely into most built-in car cupholders (hence the flying around and coming to rest against an inner door rim, described above!). But there's a slightly larger version of these glasses with a narrower base and even a top with a hole in the center and a long straw to put in it that does work beautifully as a car beverage holder (though not spill proof, because of the hole in the top for the straw).

Big, well made, great for any liquid, microwavable. Because it is big, it is easy to clean, easy to get the sponge all the way down to the inside bottom. It is not for tiny hands. Okay for normal size hands. This is the only glass I ever buy.

These are very much what you see is what you get. They are heavy and solid which is what I wanted. Love the plastic lids so you can use them for storage as well. The design is pretty classic, so if you wanted something that was sure to be a thick working glass, this is it.

The media could not be loaded. Love everything about these: the weight (we have dropped them multiple times and they haven’t broken they’re so solid!), the size is perfect for a big glass of water or smoothies, and I even love the janky little lids that come with them 😂 before I knew how much we’d all be using these I used a kitchen knife to x our little holes in the top of each lid so that my spill-prone kids would create less damage. It works but next set I’ll make it cuter because we literally hand wash these during the day to use because we can’t wait for the overnight dishwasher cycle!

I recently bought a cordless stick blender and I love it, but it is too wide form me to make smoothies in any of the glasses in my kitchen. (I prefer to blend directly in a glass to save cleanup work.)Got these today and immediately made a smoothie and the glass worked perfectly!Love that these come with lids so you can easily store what you can't drink, or just use for storing leftovers in general.I already know these glasses will get a lot of use! Not just for smoothies. Really happy with this purchase.

I use these for drinking glasses and storage containers for things I put in the fridge as well as dry storage for food and other things. I also have the shorter ones for all the above uses. (In the fridge & elsewhere the smaller ones with lids on stack 2 high on top of each other nicely. (If especially with new lids they seem a tad wobbly when 2 stacked with lids on…. Just push the center part of the lid down a tad when putting the lid on to force a bit of air out). NOTE: These taller ones I also sometimes stack 2 high but usually inside fridge or cabinet near edges for a bit of support as their height can make them easier to knock over. Glasses are quite hardy as my “newly adopted young cat” has shoved them off the kitchen counter onto soft tiled & wooden flooring and they survived without a chip or crack… so far! (Wouldn’t bet on them to survive dropping onto hard ceramic or concrete flooring though)!!!

I like these glasses and use them both for drinking water and holding spices. I like the lids that came with the glasses because the white color looks good in my kitchen and fit the glasses snugly. The walls of the glasses are thick, so they hold up well. I also like the angled edges that make these large glasses easier to hold.

I haven't used these yet but noticed some difference from my original working glass I have had for over 20 years. One of my 210z glasses just developed a crack so I ordered 4 new ones. They came very well packaged from the seller and arrived in good shape. Comparing them with my original the glass seems different and the shape and size is a bit different. The originals are marked on the bottom Luminarc and the new ones aren't and the same with the lids-different material from the original and not maked. These are made in USA not France. I will update this after using the glasses a while.
