SureFire Weaponlight LED - M640DF-BK-PRO Up to 1,500 Lumens, 16,000 Candela

Bright and tough. There are brighter and cheaper options but if you gotta trust your life to your gear, this should be on your rifle. Got my first surefire back in the mid 90's. I have had exactly one issue and they fixed it without question. This light is bright and the integrated mount works great. I have on on a 1913 railed rifle and another on an m-lok shotgun forend. Awesom!

Best mounted light period!

So I got these M640DFT lights after already having 3 of the M340DFTs. It only has 700 lumens but with 100,000 Candela, it is very bright and has near perfect throw. For home defense it will blind the bad guy and give you plenty of light to identify the threat. It will also be awesome for night time steel challenge events. The spill allows you to see way more around the hot spot than my older 1000 and 1500 lumen lights do. The newer "Pro" mounting system pretty much negates the need for any other mounts. You can mount the light to Rail or M-lock at any position you need to tuck the light in close to the weapon-system. The price seems steep but you really get what you pay for. I've used Sure Fire Products in my job since 1992, I have never had a sure fire product fail.

What can I say about Surefire lights? They've been through hell and back on many, many battle rifled on deployments to places you don't wanna go - and have survived. Yeh, it hurts to buy a $300 flashlight, and another $100+ for an end cap with a remote switch. But if you're depending on your light to work every time, in a hostile environment 2000 miles from home with the lives of you and your soldiers on the line, then it's money well spent. So do YOU need this light? I don't know. You can buy twenty cheapie Chinese lights that stop working when you accidentally bump it against the car door getting your case out. You can buy two or three Olights that will probably work til the suck gets real. You could also spend almost as much on a Streamlight that might or might not be just as tough. Evaluate your needs. If you're LARPing or airsofting, you probably don't need a Surefire unless you have far too much money on your hands. But if you want a light that will work every times, not matter what sort of abuse it takes then this is your weapon light.

Sure it's spendy, but on a firearm that you depend your life with, you can't go wrong. It is rugged, reliable, and easy to use. It sits on my Benelli M4 with an IWC mount on the left side and is easily actuated by my weak side hand.

Great weapon light! Just wish they kept their old mounting system cause aftermarket mounts are so much better than their system. Surefire needs a Qd mounting system bad.

Amazing tactical light. Bright! No problem spotting a target at night at 100+ yards.
