Chicago Electric Welding Systems CO2/Argon Regulator Gauge

I've had this regulator for several years, using the supplied nipple fitting with my old MIG welder. I recently upgraded to a newer welder and tried to switch over. That welder uses a new smaller diameter gas tube, which should be OK, because I also got the necessary adapter to mate it to the standard 9/16-18 fitting on any CO2/Argon regulator. Checking my HarborFreight/Chicago Electric owners manual, the outlet is specifically described as 9/16-18, so I figured I was good to go. Turns out, the threads for this regulator are a larger size than documented. Thinking I was going insane, I visited my local HF to double check against new stock of this part and the same is true - the output is most definitely NOT 9/16-18, despite what it says on the HF website, the box, the manual, and anywhere else they care to print it wrong. So, this is a cheap flow regulator that should work fine if you can use it with the supplied barbed nipple. Otherwise, you'll be SOL.
