I'm so glad these two finally communicated and I'm SO EXCITED to read the rest of Liam's siblings books! - Low spice, but great plot - Well developed characters - Bullying - MF Welcome to the captivating world of Royal Hearts Academy, where Ashley Jade weaves a tale of drama, angst, and undeniable attraction in Cruel Prince, the first installment of the series. Returning to Royal Manor after four years away, Dylan is faced with the daunting prospect of finishing her senior year alongside familiar faces, including her first friend and crush, Jace Covington. But the Jace she once knew has transformed into a cruel and formidable figure, determined to make her life a living hell. A. Jade masterfully navigates the complexities of high school dynamics, infusing the narrative with palpable tension and raw emotion. From the electric chemistry between Dylan and Jace to the simmering conflict within the Royal Hearts Academy, every page brims with intrigue and intensity. The warning attached to the series is not to be taken lightly, as A. Jade fearlessly delves into the darker aspects of young adult romance. Readers should be prepared for characters who are unapologetically flawed and situations that push the boundaries of conventional morality. Despite the warning, Cruel Prince offers more than just angst and drama. At its core, it's a story of resilience, self-discovery, and the transformative power of love. Dylan refuses to be cowed by the cruelty surrounding her, and her journey towards reclaiming her voice and agency is both empowering and inspiring. Fans of romance, high school drama, and flawed characters will find themselves drawn into the rich tapestry of Royal Hearts Academy. While Dylan and Jace may navigate through dark times, the depth of emotion and complexity of the narrative make this series a compelling read for those who dare to venture into its dark and alluring world. Overall, Cruel Prince sets the stage for an enthralling series filled with passion, intrigue, and unbridled emotion. Ashley Jade proves herself to be a master storyteller, leaving readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in the Royal Hearts Academy saga. #BookReview #CruelPrince #RoyalHeartsAcademy #AshleyJade #Romance #HighSchoolDrama #NewAdult #Warning #MustRead #Bookstagram #Jace #Dylan #Liam #Sawyer Review: What a Ride! - Four stars for a heartbreakingly beautiful story of love and hate. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book. From the love, the hate, the s*x, the emotion, the well written characters to the writing, all together equaled one thrilling ride. I have to say my most favorite part of this book was the writing and how the author was able to capture such intense emotions in wording. I felt everyone of Dylanโs tears and Jaceโs pain felt like my own. Every emotion was wrapped in depth and realism. The author is a true work of talent. Dylan and Jaceโs story was about friendship, hate, grief and loss but also about the power of love. This is one story that will sit with you long after the last page. Dylanโs character was one of my favorite heroines that Iโve read in a long time. She was complex and complete. Tough as nails when she needed to be, raw and emotional when it counted most and strong and brave when she had no choice. Overall a very well written character. I like that we only got Jaceโs POV a few times. Which was very poignant to the story. Each one of his POV showcased a layer to his character. We got him when he was in rage, in desire, in pain and in grief, all coming together to build a realistic hero ... or anti-hero actually. Four stars because as much as I enjoyed the build up that this novel was, the ending was unbelievably lackluster. Kinda like being on a roller coaster ... you soar to the top with adrenaline and anticipation but once you reach the peak, the ride going down is slow and disappointing. I was very disappointed in the ending. Compared to the whole book the ending was weak and flat. Jace not only bullied Dylan, he damn near tried to destroyed her and all it took was literally a couple sentences and it was all better and on to the HEA. Jace was cruel and ruthless as ever in the beginning and I just kind of felt like his redemption wasnโt very redeemable. The no resolution to Oakley and Dylanโs aunt having s*x was also a major turn off. A very important subplot that wasnโt extended on or resolved. Dylan and Oakley became close as cousins and her Aunt is literally her only the only family she has. Important people in her life. Finding out they were having s*x was an important plot. And the author literally open ended it with one sentence. There was no finality. I kinda felt cheated out on. To read such a profound story and it end so badly. However, overall, I really did enjoy this book. I loved the brotherhood between Jace, Cole and Oakley. And I swooned at the heat between Dylan and Jace. I also adored Oakley. His character and personality were hilarious. I laughed out loud multiple times reading his commentary. Thereโs a lot possibility with his character and even though the series is focused on the Covington siblings, I hope he gets his own novel. I canโt wait for book 2!

Jace I love you and I hate you. I love you for everything you've had to deal with as a child; I hate you because you are really mean to your ex best friend. I have a big flaw: sometimes I forget to read stories about teenagers. I expect them to think like adults, and I often have to remind myself that they can't. In this book, I've really had to hold back every time Dylan doesn't ask why Jace hate her so much. There are things I liked though: there aren't too many mental journeys by the protagonists. The book is not lost in unnecessary narration and this is what I love most about the author. I'm a very impatient girl, so I hate it when books start to ramble and never hit the point. Perhaps, I would have focused more on some scenes. Revenge on Tommy for example: the hospital scene is left to the imagination and that's not something I love, honestly. In my opinion we deserved to read the scene. Despite this, I say without a doubt that I liked this book very much and have already read all the others.

Ashley Jade's writing style is so easy to read, the words just flow so beautifully and the characters come to life. I have been reading a lot of bully type romance lately and this one is the absolute best one so far. The situations made sense, the backstories are believable and the emotions have real depth. I loved the sass and strength of the main character, and the secondary relationships between characters were really well done. I love when authors form strong relationships between female characters - Sawyer and Dylan's friendship is awesome. They aren't catty or competitive or backstabbing, they are friends.

Okay starting with Dylan she's a badass who breaks ppl's jaws on regular notice, but she always has jace to back her up when she needs him even tho he hates her guts bcz he thinks she did something. The best part is Oakley, cole and jace's banters, they're hella funny and sooooo entertaining!! This book is a solid 5 star!!

I have been looking forward to this book so much and it is fabulous! Well written, fantastic characters, great world building, angst, love, banter, the intensity of feeling we experience when attracted to someone and the cruelty that our fellow humans can inflict for their own entertainment and satisfaction, are all superbly captured in this fast moving read. There are no wasted words; no wasted opportunities to develop the plot and the characters; no wasted opportunities to draw you in and immerse you in this world. Dylan is fabulous. I love Sawyer, Oakley and Cole. It took me a bit longer with Jace, but trusted that Ashley would get me there..and she did! This has been a fantastic read. I have loved it and am now champing at the bit to read Cruel Knight!! ๐๐๐๐๐
