Not for young kids...
I got these for my 5 yr old who is still learning how to tie shoes. They worked well in the beginning, but after a week the laces pull out of the plastic piece at the bottom. Every time she goes to put them on I have to put the ends of the laces back into that piece. Now I'm back to square one looking for a shoelace solution for school until she gets tying laces down...

I have only used the weakest band. It seems to have stretched out, so I don't know when this purchase is worthwhile or not.
