... book in the series is " TrollSlayer" and I enjoyed it and purchased this second book
The first book in the series is " TrollSlayer" and I enjoyed it and purchased this second book. This company sent my book very quickly and it was in perfect condition. I enjoy PC strategy gaming and am not an avid reader. In 2016 a new game is coming out called " Total War : Warhammer " and this series of books describe the world and characters that are in this game. That has inspired me to want to read about it , to enjoy the game play from a clearer imagination of the layout of the world map and conquests !

Amazing Voice Acting
The narrator really brought extra life to this already exciting text. I was skeptical of how he would achieve the Skaven cadence, while also nailing Gotrek and Felix. He did it.

A great read.
After discovering book number one and reading it in what felt like one sitting I decided to get the skavenslayer. What a good choice indeed. Now I am fully prepared to tackle the series and learn more of the twos fate.I recommend this book if you are interested in the lore of warhammer, particularly the skaven clans. William kings goes into wonderful detail describing the setting.

Another amazing installment.
I can't get enough of these two and thus far every book in the series has delivered. Full of action and adventure; there's never a dull moment and you can't help but be engrossed. I'd give it more stars if I could.

Fun, short read in the Warhammer universe
Fun read that shows how skaven (rat men baddies) inter-conflicts interfere with their plans as much as the protagonists do. Not very long, and it should be noted that it ends on a cliffhanger. Also, in classic Warhammmer fashion, it's quite dark and gory. Imagery is intense but in my opinion never felt overdone and merely added to the scene.

Great read
Great series of books. Try reading from start to finish. If you're in to high fantasy and spilling guts, this series will sate your bloodlust.

Garbage
Highly unhappy with this book ..I expected some light damage as it was stated in very good condition ..this books cover was mangled and it has what appears to be blood from someone turning one of the pages on it ..partial fingerprint with a smear ..I'm definitely not a "Karen" but yikes

Squeaking deth!
I enjoyed this book, which I bought mainly because I like Skaven and despite assassinations and plague infested horrors the rat-men are generally played out here with the comedy slant in mind, with perhaps a few too many jokes about 'the musk of fear' being thrown in.It is of course a collection of short stories all linked together and focused very much on Felix and from his point of view, indeed Gotrek remains an entirely one dimensional caricature through out which is a shame, I learnt nothing about him from the first page to the last and a glimpse or two into his mind would have been welcome. As a disposable holiday read it worked well and I do mean that as a good thing, if this was a film it would be an explosive action-fantasy-comedy that you'd probably stick on again one day when you want to sit back and enjoy the ruck without worrying about whether its gonna win any oscars or not. Enjoyable stuff.

It does what it says on the cover
The title says it all really. This is a book about two generic fantasy heroes in a generic fantasy universe who slay lots of things. The novel is divided between several self-contained chapters linked together by an overarching story about a plot by a bunch of monsters to invade a city. The tone mixes gory violence and slapstick humor but the book does get very predictable and repetitive early on and I gave up about two thirds of the way. The writing is competent for a franchise novel but the characters don't really get any development beyond the bare minimum and it's hard to care about the heroes when it is clear from the beginning that they are never in any serious danger. Unless you are a hardcore Warhammer fan there is simply much better stuff to read in fantasy.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. A great sequel to Trollslayer and sets up the next book well at the end.Would definitely recommend giving it a read if you're a fan of the Warhammer world or if you aren't, though reading the first book may make things clearer as they do reference events from it on occasion throughout.

What you would expect!
Total joy to read and humorous as well. Love the Skaven leaders and all the intrigue! They are never to blame...
