Feels like a good wood pencil.
I like it a lot. I have the Koh-I-Noor Toison D'Or 5900 and Prismacolor Turquoise and Staedtler lead holders. I am very particular with the weight of the holders because I do very fine classical drawings and I want the weight of the holders to be evenly distributed and this is the only holder that feels evenly weighted just like a regular wood pencil. So basically if you want the feel and weight of a wood pencil but the quality of a fine lead, this is it. Am buying more. The only thing I dont like is the lead that comes in it is not marked so dont really know what softness it is. Seems like an HB but cannot read Japanese so not sure. Perhaps the seller could let us know in the description. I took the lead out as I was buying this for my 2Bs anyway.

It works for the non-discerning customer
This pencil isn't earth shattering. It's ok. For the money I still feel as though they could have done a little better. Keep the crap sharpener and make the pencil a little more durable. The operator (I guess what you call the plunger on the back of the pencil to extend the lead) feels very cheap. The shaft feels slightly better, and the metal tines which hold the lead seem like the only decent part. I will order another pencil and keep this one as a backup.

Great pencil, very happy with it.
It feels almost the same as a number 2 pencil that I used as a student. The sharpener fits in the pocket and stays closed until you remove the top, thus no graphite spillage in your trouser pocket. A word of caution, don't carry the pencil in a pocket with anything harder than plastic or that is heavy, the body dents easily.

Old School, meet New School.
It's a mechanical pencil with a wood body. How cool is that?

Love 'em both
Currently being used alongside the ol' standby Staedtler Mars 780. Love 'em both.
