Early Tucson (Images of America)

A Blast From The Past
Having lived near downtown Tucson Arizona for the past 41 years I've always been curious about the layout of the town and the older more historic buildings, of which unfortunately fewer and fewer are still standing, and wondered about their origin and earlier uses. The photos in this book bring to much of my curiosity. It's like walking through the Arizona Historical Society Museum without leaving your favorite chair. The photos used in the book are of very good quality and very defined. The descriptions by Anne Woosley are concise without being boring. While traveling in our truck and travel trailer around the United States, my wife and I try to pick up an "Images of America" book at what ever point of interest or interesting city/town we visit. It appears that Arcadia Publishing now has the whole country pretty well covered with this series of books.
