Is this product vegan?

Yes it’s well known as such. It’s grown on molasses so no meat or dairy. I’m sure vegans call it “nooch”

First time brewer here, can I use this to make apple cider?

Yes in order to ferment effectively yeasts need nutrients . Although present in apples they can be stripped out whilst processing. I don't use cider yeast for my cider I tend to use champagne yeast after I spoke to a professional brewer
