No, other than protective gear! Hood, gloves, protective clothing, following all instructions including air pressure

The manufacturer info says it requires 6-25 cfm. is 6 cfm @ 90 psi adequate? what is return policy if it does not work?

The more cfm the more effective it will be. No clue about returns.

How is this powered? Does it need gas?

Just needs air. It runs off of air compressor. I've got a extra one still in the box that I was forced to buy after the first one never showed up. So I ordered another one after I was refunded. I received that one and then two weeks later received the original one. Which they quickly charged my account for and by then it was too late for a return because of the Xmas deadline. I'm willing to sell it for $50.00 less than the asking price online if you're thinking about buying one

Can you add a longer hose? What kind of hose? What is the max lengh you could use. I'd like to leave this on the ground while working 2 stories up.

I don’t think the PSI is sufficient to add that much hose.
