I've tried several other brands and types of fire starters and found the AW Perkins Fire Starters to be the best. It's easy to separate the squares, they light without a problem, they burn clean and leave no residue on your hands. I highly recommend this product.

If you are familiar with FireBlox then you are going to be just as pleased with this "brand". Same product, different name. Take two wafers, partially break into a tent shape and build a canopy of wood around it. I have a wood stove and add just a dollop of starter gel to the top of the wafer for easier starting. Ignite the wafer, push it back into the canopy and walk away. Roaring fire in just minutes with no more fussing .

Does the job, every time. Just enough material to get my kindling started.

This take the hassle out of getting a fire started in my wood-burning stove. Also have used it for campfires. Very pleased with it.

I 'm not sure if they changed this, but this time blocks are a lot harder to break up.

The guy I buy my firewood from showed me how to start a fire using just a single square of these.I happen to have a little kindling nearby so he used a few sticks but you can start a fire with NO kindling with these, as long as you use small logs. (Not big, thick ones.) Wow - I wish I had known about these before!

I am replacing my supply. They make starting a fire so much easier.

These start your fire every time! We fill the woodstove with regular wood, add 2 to 3 of these and have a fire in no time. No mess. No kindling required.
