Got this over the week-end and I am again impressed by the content of another of Frank books.This title overlaps with Frank's "Wado-Ryu Karate: The complete Art Uncovered" both books contain Kihon-Gumite, but this new book goes into more detail of competition and 'street' fighting.Clear pictures and great examples of exercise drills lead the reader from fitness training and practical preparation for competition to scoring techniques and a few dirty tricks. This book contains plenty to educate the novice and experienced alike in traditional Wado.A great, great book.

The book itself is quite small considering the price it changes hands for, however the content is very good.The fighting techniques are outstanding and will work in sparring, the pictures and explanation are straight forward and free from jargon. The author is a clear example of someone who seek to promote the art as opposed to promoting himself for financial reward or kudos. I highly recommend this book to all karate practitioners not just wado ryu followers.
