The Beadsmith Magical Crimping Pliers, Transforms 2mm Tubes into Round Beads, 1 Piece

This item was something I needed in my bead crafting and I love it. Easy to use just takes a bit of getting used to.

I like it, I was expecting to use it forBigger crimps as well but no, it’s only for the tiny ones

I must admit, I was at wits end over the crimps not being as secure as they should be on finished items - when I saw these demonstrated, I was a no brainer for me to add them to my array of jewellery making tools. They take a little bit to get use to, but they perform well, giving a lovely beaded finish to a product. Highly recommend if you are considering to try them out.

I thought this was a brilliant idea. I have not beaded in over a decade & have noticed there are several new tools on the market. I have not used it enough to know if it is "brilliant" or not. Maybe I can master it with practice. So far it's meh

Really like they ball- up the sharp edges of a crimp bead. Found they would not take a very hard hold on cheap copper crimps but the silver silver plate and gold crimps all did beautifully and held tightly - even tho I usually cover them with a crimp cover bead(It did take a few of them in practice before I could get it to work )great item for the money now that I know how to use them , they're pretty easy.

I've been through 8 of these, they always break around the 1.5k crimping. I use these to crimp plastic sleeves onto a wire for fishing lures, this brand always breaks around the 1.5k crimp. For 100 fishing lures, I have to crimp 16 sleeves for one lure, I always plan on it breaking nearing the 100 lures. I'm looking for a better manufacturer.

Would love to have it work, so I keep on trying.

It does take a bit of practice to get the hang of these . If you take your time to line them up , in time you will get a feel for when the crimp is in the right place . You need at least 2 wires in the crimp for it to hold , so you will need to use extra wire when making illusion type jewelry . I often make 3 strand jewelry and the crimps that are suited to this tool will not fit 6 strands through so I use other crimps and tool for that . You will never get a perfect round ball with these but I'm pleased with the finish they give and for me they look better than crimp covers and are easier to use .
