Q: Hi, can anybody tell me if the kettle is 2200w or 3000w please? there is a discrepancy in the listing. thanks for any help!

The currant rating on my kettle says 2520-3000kw. It will no doubt pull a maximum of 3Kw when totally filled with water as it will take longer to boil this amount and run at its maximum rating. Hope this helps. Happy with my kettle as it works fine by the way,would by another if required.

Q: Does the wood effect start to come off after a few weeks due to steam escaping? Was I just unlucky?

For us: Took a while to get rid of the plastic taste to the boiled water. The the handle started to form bubbles in the wood effect, which resulted in it coming off. The lid also stopped opening too. Not a good kettle at all! We've since gone through another kettle which the lid mechanism also broke on and are now using a metal Kenwood one with the thermostat on the front. This doesn't have a mechanism to break.

Q: Does the blue kettle have a water filter inside?

Just a tiny one. Nice kettle! Can get hand in & clean.
