All Children Read: Teaching for Literacy in Today's Diverse Classrooms 5th Edition

It was exactly what I wanted for the class I am taking!

Excellent text.

This is a comprehensive book for educators in training. Very detailed about literacy in general. Sometimes too much detail and not enough practical teaching materials (for educators in the field). I did not realize when I purchased this, I was not going to be able to use the additional resources mentioned throughout the book! For example, there are videos suggested (with the URL) that you should watch to really make meaning and practical use of the material. Since I am already an educator and not a student taking a university course, many of the online resources are not available, including the youtube videos suggested to view and reflect on the book content. Very disappointed, as I was hoping his would be a valuable personal PD resource that I could pass along and recommend to my fellow teachers. Wish it was more evident in the description that the utility of this book is limited, since you will not have access to these supplemental resources.
