This was a used book and the condition was amazing.The book itself is well-laid-out and colorful. It gives good descriptions and I think will be helpful on our upcoming trip to Alaska!

I took this with me to Alaska and used it to identify species as we saw them. Most were in the book with brief descriptions, but some were missing, common names not included. All in all, it met my needs @nd wasn’t too heavy to carry in my backpack.

Useful information. The illustrated section on wildlife is great. It has good pictures and is not overwhelming. I was so impressed that I ordered copies for other family members going on our Alaska cruise in a couple months. I will take the book with me!

Excellent information with very detailed, precise drawings of each living critter and plant in Alaska.The detailed descriptions of each of the creatures, including plant life, is invaluable for anyone planning on hiking the back country or staking their claim and moving to Alaska.

I got this book for my 9 year old daughter because we are in Alaska right now and she loves learning about animals. This book is bright and colorful and has just enough information to keep her interest.

Used for an Alaskan cruise, very portable and informative. Not a full field guide, but certainly has the essentials for identifying what you're seeing!
