Harrow County Omnibus Volume 1 (Harrow County Omnibus, 1)

The omnibus is definitely the way to go with this. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. As Mike Mignola reviewed, it is both charming and disturbing. The problem is that (if this is actually a problem) that the story and art flow so well that you're over and done with it before you know! I originally bought the first TPB and after going through it (and immediately rereading it because it was so much fun) I knew that I should wait for the omnibus before buying the other individual editions. Worth the wait. In my opinion, Cullen Bunn stories tend to range from "good" to "excellent" and this one falls somewhere above "Very Good" with the original Sixth Gun series being an example of "Very good to Excellent," or at least very close if we're reserving excellent for the real giant stories that are the Casablancas, Wizard of Ozs, Citizen Kanes, and The Graduates of the TPB world.

I like the story. It has a supernatural theme. The illustration is a little on the darker side. It is not what I would consider to be in the genre of horror, but it is horror adjacent, maybe? I found myself interested in seeing what comes next. It was a fun read, and I am excited to get the next omnibus when it comes out.I will say that I am not entirely sure that I like the main character. I do not agree with all of her choices, and I am unsure of whether or not I really want to see her succeed. It's not a bad thing to be skeptical of the main character, but it drives the story in a different way. Perhaps other people will feel like they are 100% on board with her.

I just happened on this in my Amazon feed. Something new and it did not disappoint. If you are into non-traditional comic (or graphic novels) Harrow County Omnibus is for you. Dark, twisted and beautiful. Volume 2 is equally well done.

Another wonderful original series coming out of Dark Horse. This is my first time reading Bunn and I'm hooked. Great world building with twists and turns I don't see coming. Really good value on this edition too. Excited for the Volume 2 omnibus coming out in July..

I enjoyed this story as well as the art. A very interesting and spooky series.

Amazing horror story, cant wait for the next omnibus

The material itself is wonderful. One of the best modern comics. However, THE SHIPPING IS AWFUL. Order from Barnes & Noble. They know how to ship graphic novels.

Great read , worth checking out

Harrow County is an amazing comic! 5 stars for the content. But for having been a company that started in books Amazon cannot ship a book in good quality packaging and this Pre-ordered 'brand new book looks like dirt.

What a fantastic read. Was a little slow to start, but had me hooked after the first issue. Omnibus style is definitely the best way to read this series, so you don’t have to wait a month to see what happens next. Definitely pick this one up!!

I knowingly bought one of the, apparantly many, damaged copies for a reduced price. Personally I'm very happy with that extra price reduction and 400+ pages of what I've heard is going to be a fantastic story + I really like the art style. Luckily I'm not so much a neat freak, so I'm not bothered much by the couple dents in the cover. Delivery with Amazon was, as expected, extremely fast.

The Graphic novel is so far a very good story (5 stars). However shipping and care were obviously not a priority. It was shipped in a large box with nothing to protect it from being beat up. The way the book arrived appears to be used rather than new based off the damaged nature of the book.
