Hi,u can put a protector on but i prefer not 2 as it seems 2 keep cooler without 1 also less static on ur hair.hope that helps.if u have read my review u will know i love these pillows so much.100% genuinely they are so comfy.

Can you put them in the washer machine to be cleaned or have you got to take stuff out before I do?

Hi, these are lovely Pillows, I have read the instructions which read...... Machine wash cold. No bleach. Low heat tumble dry. Regular dry clean Polyester filled. Hope this helps. I think they come as soft, medium & firm pillows, mine are medium but its your preference. Very comfy.
