BEST TOY PURCHASE for GROWING 6+ MONTH OLD
Honestly: This is THE BEST PURCHASE I EVER MADE in the toy category. I purchased it for him at 6 months after we went to a friend's house and she had one. I'm the kind of mom that loves hand me down toys, but this particular toy kept him sitting and and occupied for long periods of time. I am so glad I bought it.My son is "larger" for his age. At 6 months, he could already sit, but he still needed some help. He was probably on the faster side to rolling over (4 months) and start crawling (about 6 months). He started standing at about 7 months and now at 9-10 months he's a pusher (with walker assistance) and cruiser.About the table: It's a very very good height for a baby to sit at. The table is at perfect level for him to sit on his butt and focus and see things all over the table. As he has grown, he has also stood at the table and used it to push up and reach to the other end of it to check things out. The table comes with a drum stick that kind of looks like a lollipop. We ended up putting that away because he would chew on the wood and I was afraid he'd fall with it while it was in his mouth. But other than that the table is very entertaining. My son also takes other toys and bangs on the table. The table is sturdy, never had any issues or problems. One time I had to re-tighten the legs, but that is expected.I would say, just as a careful parent, when your little one is crawling but has not quite mastered control, you might want to temporarily take the table out of the way because he would launch his head into the side. But they are kids. They do that with walls too. Once he was more in control of his movements, I'd leave the table there and he would push up on it fine.

Works for our family
I bought this on lightning deal for my 8 month old twins. They are currently pulling up and standing everywhere, I thought the low profile would safely help them to do that. They seem entertained by it and there's room for both of them and my 3 year old to play comfortably. My 3 year old likes to show them how to use the xylophone and drum area, I was surprised how interested he was. I'm not sure how much use this you will get one they start walking and I wish I had got it a few months back when they were sitting up. However, I still highly recommend it for several reasons:1. Big enough for several kids to play with.2. Paint job is well done and staying on. Melissa and Doug toys cannot withstand gentle use from my 3 year old but this table has no signs of wear and tear after weeks of abuse from my twins.3. Lots of sensory activities. You have flaps, instruments, etc to keep them entertained despite skill level. I recommend getting this when your child starts to sit up for this reason.4. Sturdy. Can withstand the weight of two 8 month old at about 20 lbs each using it to hold them up.5. Low profile. I'm not sure how handy this will be down the road, but right now I love it. They can sit and play or they can stand. It's low profile enough that if they're standing they can see to play. They're not quite tall enough to play with their activity table when standing which can lead to frustration or over reaching and falling.

Fun and easy
Perfect fur the 1yoLos if things to do as he loves standing on it 😉Easy assemblyThe one drawback is the"lollipop hammer " came apart in less than a week. I've glued it, but that's a safety concern in the long run.

Great quality product
This is a fun little table for babies and young toddlers. I presented it to my daughter when she was a little past 8 months old. The first feature she learned to play with was the wooden flaps- after a little modeling, she was able to flip them up and down. She is now 12 months old and she still enjoys this table. Her favorite feature these days is using the xylophone stick to bang the xylophone and drum. The table was easy to assemble and it's colorful and sturdy. All parts work well- the gears interlock well and spin well together. I like that it is cheerful, gender neutral, and doesn't involve electronic noises. My only issue is the height of the table. It was fine when she was younger, but it is a very low table and it's an awkward height for a child who wants to stand and doesn't want to sit. Today, she was more interested in trying to climb it and stand on it like a surfboard so maybe I will be taking it away for safety reasons! But if your child is more stationary, maybe they will just sit and the height of the table won't be an issue. This was an excellent buy for the price- a good quality product that my child has enjoyed.

Great for a 5-12 month old
Santa brought this play table for our 5 1/2-month old baby an it was a great gift. It helped her learn to sit independently as she kind of propped forward on the table to play (we put a boppy behind her for support early on). When she first got the table she was only able to play with the beads on the rail and chew on the drumstick. Progressively, she learned how to rotate the cogs, move the little cars on their track, play the xylaphone and finally close and open the little doors. Despite the age stated on the product, I think it's a great choice for the 6 month-1 year age range. It's nice to have a play table made out of wood, much prettier and more environmentally friendly than plastic.

Amazing activity table!
I bought this for my then 6 month old for Christmas. And he wasn't 100% independent with sitting at that point. But we would place a hoppy behind him and he would love sitting up to this table. He can't reach everything even now at 8 months but I think that's a good thing. We can switch things up and recharge his interest by turning it. My baby loves every piece on this activity table. Even my toddler likes to play with him and use the detachable toy to bang on the drum and xylophone. It's solid wood and easy to wipe clean. The table is very stable. I've caught my toddler standing on it a few times (he isn't supposed to be though). I'd definitely recommend this toy. It gives me at least 20 mins. Of a break to do other things while they play.

Great toy!
The toy is so cute and great once your little one is able to sit up on their own! The quality is great and stands up to rough play by the young ones.

I took it out of the box to check it last night and am so pleased with the quality of it
I ordered this on Black Friday for the price after the deal (which was cheaper!) as one of my little boy's Christmas presents. I took it out of the box to check it last night and am so pleased with the quality of it, it looks so sturdy and well made. I'm sure he'll love it and it'll make a nice addition to his toys, it looks much better than the plastic activity tables I was contemplating.
