Where do I start? Well my furniture is 17 years old, High end leather, but to be honest, like so many of us, I wasn't one to do reg cleaning and maintenance on it after it got older. The arm rests especially, and the seat cushions had really taken a beating. The leather was rough and starting to show signs of cracking and the leather itself had faded. It looked hideous to me and always covered the cushions with a blanket. My plan was to just buy new furniture as I thought there was no hope in refurbishing the leather or color. Well let me tell you, I came across this product on Amazon, and I thought, what the heck, the reviews looked great, so I thought I would try it. I wish I would have taken photos of before and after, because it HONESTLY looks like the before and after on the label!.. Following the instructions, I cleaned the leather with the Furniture Clinic cleaner, then followed with the Furniture Clinic Conditioner. I used the cleaner on the soiled areas, the arm rests and the cushions, but condtioned the entire seating area. ( the rest of the loveseat leather was still like new as far as suppleness). I then applied the Re-Coloring Balm and OMG, what a transformation. I started on the arm rests, cushions and attached back pillows. I HONESTLY couldn't believe how it worked!.. The areas that had the worst wear and damage, sucked up the product, This didn't scare me as I really didn't have anything to lose if it ended up looking like crap lol. Directions say to let dry for 5 mins and buff... I kept reapplying to the arm rests and seat cushions and each time I reapplied, I could feel the difference in the leather..The rough texture started to disappear and the dark wear look in those areas disappeared!. I left it sit overnite. I woke up this morning and could not believe the difference in the way the loveseat looks and feels!.. The leather is about 90% MORE supple and visibly, it looks incredible!..My husband got up this morning and could not believe the transformation. He said it looked almost new!. I plan on applying the conditioner to the arms and cushions one more time before lightly buffing, and will continue to conditon every other day to really soften up those areas. I can't stress enough how bad of shape this loveseat was in before and what a transformation this product has made so far!.. The leather is no longer "scratchy and dry looking".. I will see how this holds up and update this post. JUST a couple of things to note:, The Directions on the coloring do not really say how to apply, so at first I started applying with a cloth, but the cloth absorbs too much of the product, so I used my fingertips and it slid on effortlessly and didn't need much product at all. You can use rubber gloves but I didn't, and the color washed right off with soap and water. Yes, rub it in a circular motion and in the areas that are bad, use the wax on wax off motion lol. I used about a half of a jar on the loveseat, so if applied with fingers, it will go a long way!I believe what this product is, is a Tinted conditioner, which makes sense, and a good one. The molecules are obviously small enough to penetrate the leather, so that the tint and the condtioner is absorbed completely. ( that is the MOST important part). I just wish I would have taken before and after photos! I AM ordering more to have on hand for future use!UPDATE: It's been 2 weeks now and my one and only application. Color still looks great, no scratches thru the color even with the dogs jumping up on the loveseat. Color has NOT rubbed off onto anything.!! After reading alot of negative reviews, I have come to the conclusion that those people have applied the product to something OTHER than REAL leather!. DO THE ABSORBTION TEST BEFORE PURCHASING!. REAL LEATHER WILL absorb the water drop instantly!. anything other than leather will NOT. Those people who have used it on something other than REAL leather, may have a bit of color stain ONTOP of their fabric, but it will NOT absorb. THIS IS WHY it WILL rub off or fade early on.!

This product has transformed my couch and loveseat! Had scratches in my faux leather loveseat and couch and some worn spots. This product has made my furniture look almost new. What a difference. I seriously was considering purchasing a new couch. So glad I discovered this product. Goes on very smoothly, and DOES NOT come off. Extremely happy. Excellent product.

Color was great, product is powerful, I used a small brush to apply, dries a little duller surface than my leather couch, I used a cleaner/ conditioner on it and it came up better but it also started removing some color. Don’t get too aggressive. I’m am pleased with the improvement.

We received this couch as a hand me down and our dogs have worn out the leather so it was in rough shape, but after applying this product it looks brand new! Very easy to apply and drys quickly with no transfer. Would definitely recommend.

This product actually works as advertised! Our beloved cat passed away recently, at the age of 20. The last few years of her life she had trouble getting on the bed and used the foot ottoman to get up on the couch and then on to the bed. The ottoman was horribly scratched on both ends. I bought this product in the "red" color and it actually covered up all of the light areas where the red color had been scratched up. Of course it did not fill in the scratches, but it colored them so well that unless one looks closely, they are no longer visible. Delighted at the result. The product is a thick liquid more than a paste and goes on very easily and smoothly.

Bought this item to cover up worn areas on a leather couch and it looks amazing! Color matched perfectly and the couch looks brand new! Should be able to get several more years out of the couch!

I used this to try and dye my off white couch brown. This is a semi aniline leather couch from pottery barn that I got for free off Facebook. Per the website it says this will work on semi aniline. This did not work for me. I did not deglaze the couch and also it doesn’t clam to change to whole couch color so that is my fault for thinking it would. I thought my couch was absorbent. It is not. I tested to absorbency on the cushion that was worn down and that is why it was absorbent. So check for absorbency on a non-worn area on the couch. Since it just sat right on top of the leather and didn’t absorb I was able to just wipe it right off with water thankfully. I am going to try fiebings leather dye after deglazing and hopefully that will work. As you can see in the photo the left side is two coats and the right side is three coats with the third coat I had to dap to get it to go on a little thicker for better coverage. Didn’t matter either way as it didn’t absorb. I thought this product would work for me but it didnt but I believe that was user error. I used medium brown.

We purchased these top of the line leather couches 25+ years ago. They were extremely sun faded but otherwise in great condition. We gave them to my son and he recently used this product and they are just like new! Look at the before and after. You’ll be amazed! Just ordered another jar for the second couch!

Easy to apply & a perfect colour. Covers the small peels & can't see them till you're up really close. Excellent product. Will see how long it lasts on the couch.

It says it restores colours, but only when you actually get the product and the info sheet does it mention that the colour needs to be lighter for it to work. So my red leather recliners, that have black worn marks stay black.

We're not photograph everything people, but I feel bad for not documenting the dramatic difference this made to a well-worn/dog-nail-tested leather couch, our main leisure/entertainment seating. AMAZING. Dead-simple to apply, and delivers on all the manufacturer's promises. Pro Tips: Go to the mfg's YouTube vid for application instructions. Definitely clean your piece beforehand. And have a LOT of light/white rags on hand for buffing after to take up any excess colour, before and after final seal coat. Speaking of which, we opted to seal the new colour (after buffing as instructed) with a MUCH cheaper mink-oil wax/paste used for shoes, let it dry overnight, then buffed again to remove any unabsorbed excess, and the result was both perfect, and colour-fast for clothing during immediate seating afterward — and since. We're so happy, we've purchased another jar to do the back and sides of the couch (exposed; and we only did the seat and back cushions at first) and to have extra on hand for spot-repairs should they become necessary going forward. Long story short: we absolutely recommend this product, and WILL be using it again in future. Cheers.
