Emporia, is light to carry and easy to use. However, it does not have a remote earpiece for hands free conversation. The hands free facility works similar to a cordless landline phone. If you require a remote facility then this is not the phone for you. In this situation I would opt for the TTfone, LUNAR. I found a buzzing noise when conversing with the three I tried which I really coudld not stand and feared it would provoke a tinnitus attack, so opted for the Emporia.

Bought for my Dad as the one he had stopped working but this one I had to return as SIM card slot was blocked by something and the replacement phone I requested once set up you were unable to hear the person you called so I requested and received my money back. Can not fault the customer service I received

The phone is easy to use with nice big buttons and simple menu system and enough volume if hard of hearing. But the camera is total rubbish. I wasn't expecting much because it's only 2MP. But, even when set to the highest quality setting, the picture is so noise reduced/compressed that images look like watercolour paintings. There's no detail at all. The manual is also so small it needs a magnifying glass to read it. Not good for old folks trying to learn how to use the phone. Returned to Amazon for full refund.

Brilliant phone

Although phone charged it would not work. Was checked by independant company who said the phone or SIM card port was faulty.

Bought for my husband, and very easy to use, one drawback the slightest touch on the side button and the torch is on wasting battery life. Have been in touch with Emporia and you cannot disable the side torch button, they are working on this! Good value and super fast delivery.

My mum has problems with her sight, hearing and the use of her hands. Tried various other options but this is the one that seems to have done the trick. Doesn’t seem to be overly sturdy but at this price…

Although its advertised as being easy to use for the older generation, I disagree. In this day where many of the older generation do not have expensive phone contracts and just like something simple to make calls and texts, we found this everything but. The calls are not too bad I suppose (making a call from your list of friends should be) but if you like to sometimes send a text, this is where it gets difficult, it is far to complicated and so many different screens to negotiate, you wish you hadn't started.
