Wow, where to begin with this book other than there are no words to describe how life changing, inspiring and driving this book truly is... whether you are a Kane Hodder fan or not, a horror fan or not you will learn so much from his story. This book hands down changed my entire life, how empathetic I am, and made me realize how lucky I am to be here and be who I am today. The writing is absolutely amazing, Author Michael Aloisi writes in a way that grips you and keeps you turning page after page. Kane is one of the most influential and inspiring human beings I have EVER read about. You will not regret reading this, even after I finished it I went onto listen to it on Audible just to hear the emotion in Kanes voice as he told his own story. Check out the Killer and I as well on book and DVD! If you haven't read this, do it now. You will never look at life the same way again ❤

I have read twelve books on my Kindle. The first one (Death's Daughter) was the best of the bunch out of the first eleven. That changed when I read this one. I recommend you familiarize yourself with Kane Hodder's work before you read this book. Watch the Hatchet movies, Friday the 13th 7-10, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, and Ed Gein: the Butcher of Plainfield. This is the best autobiography I've ever read including biographys not written by the subject. Kane Hodder's has some really interesting stories to tell and the one about his burn accident is absolutely heart-wrenching. This book is funny, informative, honest, interesting, and an overall good read. Kane Hodder has a passion for what he does, and reading this you feel like he's a good guy he could be cool to hang out with (and fans who have met him say he is). It's hard to say what's the best thing about the book, but this book is a must-read for his fans, and a must read for those new to his work. Highly recommended.

I got both book's that Kane and Mike put out. The first one being The Killer & I and then UNMASKED Kane's autobiography. I love them both. I could not put them down. I couldn't even wait to get off from work everyday just so i could come home and actually read something i really loved and enjoyed. I don't really do a whole lot of reading,but this was just something i had to get and had to read and i am so glad that i did. I have really learned alot about Kane as well. He talk's about numerous thing's that have happened in his life. I myself can relate to alot of stuff that Kane as been through,cause i have been there and done that too. If there is anyone who hasn't read the book,you should really get a copy and sit down and read it. I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed with the book. I know Kane would really appreciate it if everyone would get a copy and read it. I honestly believe that Kane is a good person. I don't think he is like alot of the other celebritie's in the world,and i will explain why. Kane really love's his fan's and take it from me this is something i know to be the truth. Alot of celebritie's go on about how they love their fan's and all that but to be honest alot of them don't give a flying flip about their fan's. I have friend's that have supported celebritie's for year's and when it came time for that fan to get an autograph or just to meet that person,well guess what they got snobbed by that celebrity. When that happened that fan didn't want anything to do with that celebrity anymore and they would tell you that they got snobbed. I can honestly say that Kane is not like that. Kane really care's about and love's his fan's. Kane is a great guy and i support him and stand behind him 100%. For those of you whom may not like Kane for whatever reason,i will say this-everyone is entitled to their own opinion of whom they may or may not like. I for one love Kane and i think he is a great guy,actor and stuntman. I think you should get to know him personally a little more or even go meet him and see what he is like in person and you maybe suprised,before you start going and passing judgement on him. This is just my opinion. Like i said i love Kane,i think he is a great guy and both book's are great. Kane is only human just like everyone else in the world,he has feeling's just the same and yes he has and will make mistake's but don't we all. I don't think you will find a better book or a better guy than Kane Hodder! So Kane if you was to read this by some chance,you are a great guy no matter what. You have a fan right here that love's your book and you. Don't stop doing what make's you happy,alway's stay positive no matter what. You have and alway's will have my support Kane. Keep up the good work!!!!

Okay, first off, I have to admit I’m a huge Kane Hodder fan. My introduction to him was as Jason in Friday the 13th Part VII and I loved watching him work ever since. So, when I had the chance to grab his biography and read it, I didn’t hesitate.One of the things that jumps out right away is his straight honesty. He’s brutally honest about what he’s thinking, why he did things, and how he feels about it. His honesty also goes two ways, meaning he’s just as honest about himself as he is about others, and that’s a refreshing and awesome quality that really brought his life’s adventures out as more than just a few statements.Because of that, we’re allowed to see a part of the man that he’s kept private for years and that’s a blessing many don’t share. There are several aspects where I can totally understand him from his “love” of a doctor to his sense of humor. While my medical experiences (I’ve never been severely burned) have been no where near as serious as his, it’s both cool and inspiring to hear how he dealt with it and survived to do some great work with burn victims. His sense of humor is, well, unique, and similar to mine. That’s all I’m going to say on that one. You’ll just have to read the book to find out what I mean. For those of you that know me, you’ll see the similarities. LolAs with all biographies, we’re in danger or having our visions of what someone we love to watch perform shatter our expectations, and while that may be the case for some, for me, this brought a deeper understanding and appreciation for the work he’s put in over the years and I hope to see him continue and be an inspiration to everyone he meets.

His book is very, very honest. Which is wonderful. The hardest part to read was what happened to him as a kid and the horrendous burns and utter despicable treatment he got at a hospital! Even i had to think; it never really happen did it!? It did! He is proof that no matter what happens in life; you don't give up. You keep fighting. And that is what is inspirational about him. A must read!

LOVED IT!!A look behind the mask that brings both heartbreaking stories as well has humorous tales from sets of 'Jason" and a look at Kane's twisted, but comical personality. The book tells the story of Kane's childhood, from bullies to moving & living in remote areas, discovering his love of stunts and becoming one of the prolific killers of our time. It opened up a new perspective on Kane's life and career. I had the honour to meet him in Nov 2017 in Niagara Falls at a convention. I brought this book for him to sign it, & he was so humble that I had it and loved it as much as I did. I would love to see another book, as Kane has mentioned numerous times that there could be lots more stories to share, that would fill chapters in books. Kane is a humble, appreciative man who holds the crown for most kills by any 'killer'. All hail Kane Hodder.

Schon seit Jugendtagen ein Fan von Horror und Slasher Filmen gewesen kommt man natürlich nicht um die Biographie von Kane Hodder herum.Kane schreibt in seinem Buch über sehr intime und persönliche Dinge die er in seinem Leben erlebt hat die ihn einiges an Überwindung gekostet haben. Auf sehr lustige aber auch ernste Weise wird sein ganzer Werdegang in der Filmindustrie beschrieben und es gibt auch einige Überraschungen die selbst ein hartgesottener Kane Hodder Fan vielleicht noch nicht wusste. Das Buch ist nur auf englisch erhältlich, ist aber in einem so angenehmen und einfachem Englisch geschrieben das sogut wie jeder der zumindest die basics in englischer Grammatik beherrscht keine Probleme haben sollte alles zu verstehen. Vieles ergibt sich auch aus dem Kontext. Obwohl das Buch im ersten Eindruck etwas globig wirkt lässt es sich doch recht halten und lesen. Die Buchstaben sind in angenehmer Grösse gedruckt und der Einband ist sehr schön und stimmig gestaltet. 5 Sterne für dieses Buch. Es hat alle meine Erwartungen erfüllt und teilweise sogar übertroffen.

This book is amazing, finding out new things about my favourite Actor that I never knew before. All that he went through in lofe and how much a role like Jason Voorhees meant to him. Kane will forever be the one and only Jason to me. I highly recommend this book to every horror fan out there.
