I needed to stop clearing things up!
For years I have had an annoying problem with needing to clear my throat for about 30 minutes after brushing my teeth. I would do my best to keep the toothpaste out of my throat, but to no avail. I have tried various brands of toothpaste, but to no avail. I went to baking soda only and this did indeed help, however, it's not the most beneficial solution for me. My wife's good friend is a dentist and she suggested the throat clearing is a reaction to either fluoride or the common toothpaste detergents sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium lauryl sacrosinate. I tried a fluoride free toothpaste, but it did not stop the unwanted need to clear my throat after brushing my teeth. I then went in search of a toothpaste that is free of the aforementioned detergents for teeth. I found 'Himalaya Neem and Pomegranate Toothpaste'. The purchase came secure in typical Amazon boxing and once inside I found the 4 tubes of toothpaste in a better than expected, quality packaging. The tubes had the same visual appearance and feel as the boxes, telling me the product has been developed by a group who take pride in their work/product. While some reviewers have complained about the taste of the toothpaste, I did not find it bad at all. The taste is not the heavy mint taste you get with the large commercial brands...the mint taste most people know and have come to expect. For me, the initial taste, texture and after taste are not only fine, but actually pleasant. And, my teeth truly do feel clean (use a sonic toothbrush as well). The best part, 90% of the need to clear my throat for 30 minutes after brushing is gone. I am sending a thank you text to my wife's friend, the dentist, after I finish this review. While she did not recommend this product or any other, she did get me on the right path. One other good point, this product is reasonably priced if you look at the other products in this category and, not that much more than the big commercial brands that everyone gravitates to secondary to mass advertising and a need for the over-the-top mint flavor. A flavor that is used to hide the heavy chemical taste you would otherwise notice in your mouth. And while my wife did not need a special toothpaste, she has started using this product and has been very pleased. She mentioned that this weekend when she sees her friend who is a dentist, she is going to recommend this product to her for her patients or even herself. It's always a good feeling to get a quality product that solves a problem and improves quality of life.

Hurray for Himalaya, and a healthy mouth!
This toothpaste is my absolute favorite. I love it. You wouldn't think a toothpaste is something you could be passionate about, but this one is. I try to stay away from conventional products. If you're looking at purchasing this, I doubt I have to tell you why to pursue a more natural toothpaste. That being said, I've tried a few other "natural" toothpastes, and found them unsatisfactory. The worst was when I made the mistake of buying Tom's of Maine (from a brick-and-mortar store) once, when I ran out of this. I thought the Tom's was safe and non-irritating. How wrong I was. Despite the one I picked up being free of flouride (which it clearly stated on the front of the box) it was not free of other junk. I failed to turn the box over and see it contained SLS. I don't put that stuff in my hair, why would I put it in my mouth? It quickly began turning my gums red, sore, and they even started sagging and bleeding in places! Ugh! I had originally found this in my local Vitamin Shoppe, but hadn't gone back because I moved further from the store. After my experiment with Tom's went horribly wrong, I promptly got on Amazon and ordered more Himalaya! What a life (and mouth) saver this stuff is. My mouth went back to normal in just a few days! The irritation went away, the bleeding stopped and healed, and my gums are back to being firmly against my teeth like they should be. My teeth and gums are clean, feel good, and that "fuzzy" teeth feeling stays away soooo much longer with this stuff than with anything else. I assume that is because of all the xylitol preventing the growth of so much bacteria! Not to mention, no more gross taste with the other brands! Shipping was quick, they were packaged well, and subscribe and save is worth it for me, as I don't want to run out again and have to pick up something else! I have noticed, however, that the name of the line went from "Organique" when I originally bought it, to "Botanique". I can only assume that is because it can't be considered completely organic, and they don't want a lawsuit on their hands. Regardless, the formula seems the same, the ingredients are great and many are organic, and it's still the absolute BEST toothpaste I've ever tried. Try it!

This is the Good Stuff, and it's free of the Bad Stuff
I ordered the Himalaya Neem and Pomegranate Toothpaste because it is fluoride-free. Fluoride is a neurotoxin, so why, oh WHY is it in our toothpaste, our tap + bottled water, and given to kids to swish. That much fluoride cannot be good for us. My husband actually starting refusing to use the fluorinated toothpaste I was buying (the grocery stores I shop at don't sell fluoride-free toothpaste, and I have an active toddler, so going to a store just to buy toothpaste is out of the question). My husband starting brushing his teeth with mouthwash just to avoid fluoride, so at this point I felt awful and had to order something for him. I found this toothpaste, and we both love it! It foams nicely, without the use of sodium lauryl sulfate. I never did like the "natural" toothpastes that don't foam. It cleans like a beast. The teeth on the left side of my mouth always get fuzzy feeling, like a thin layer of plaque buildup that I have a hard time getting off with "grocery store toothpaste" (I floss every day and am very conscious of my dental health, I just have extra plaque buildup on one side of my mouth due to a few muscles/nerves that don't work on that side, meaning my cheek is pressed up against those teeth all day long). The HIMALAYA NEEM AND POMEGRANATE TOOTHPASTE just bulldozes right through this plaque, and since I have been using it, I have had absolutely no plaque buildup. It is incredible! This toothpaste is delicious. It has a mildly earthy flavor at first, which I quickly got used to. It has none of the "chemical" taste of grocery-store toothpaste. I can confirm that I have subscribed to have this stuff sent to me every three months (I will probably need to change that to two months, we'll see). It is our official toothpaste now.

LOOOVVVEEEEEE for the sensitive girlie's (and guys)
This might be tmi but everytime for as long as I can remember any regular toothpaste would upset my tummy and give me ibs (yes I know tmi). I just thought that was something I would have to deal with for the rest of my life. Until I by chance went to whole foods and was in need of a toothpaste while traveling and came upon this one by chance....and after using it once I couldn't believe it...I felt nothing....it was amazing....my teeth feel great and my breath fresh and no tummy issues!! 10/10. I've tried the usual brands when I ran out and I couldn't even believe how badly I hated them after now getting used to this brand. Will never ever go back to any other toothpaste again.

Minty, Refreshing; Don’t Expect Herbal or Fruity
Himalaya Botanique presents an increasingly varied lineup of largely nature-sourced and plant-based toothpastes -- most without the fluoride adults arguably no longer need at some point -- and this Neem & Pomegranate offering has much appeal. Observations: (1) Conspicuous and wonderful absence of artificiality in the taste profile, although this is still very much another mint toothpaste. Neem is a holistic herb with a bitter, olive-like fruit, and that taste is hinted at in the undercurrent, while the brightness of pomegranate is less discernable. Just don’t expect herbs and fruits to pop at you. (2) Good, natural-feeling foaming action; teeth feel fully clean with a residual cooling effect and whitened glow. (3) For gum and tongue brushers, this toothpaste is strong and effective, but with no post-brushing rawness or "meat tenderizing" impacts. (4) Fresh breath endures for a long time. (5) No sense of plaque buildup over regular-term use. (6) Vegetarian-friendly. An exceedingly fresh, decidedly Earth-sourced mint toothpaste, and a good value at this wholly reasonable low price. - (Was this of use? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

I do not like standard oral care products
I have never heard of this toothpaste. Made a list of several organics to give a try too in my hunt for a toothpaste replacement. My local stores do not sell this. I needed a fluoride free paste. I bought this and tried it for my sensitive mouth. It works. Mouth was left much less sensitive. I do not like standard oral care products. This has zero of those burning or stinging ingredients. I was concerned about changing toothpastes and bought a few to try. I love the price of this as most organic type toothpaste seem to sell you less of the product for higher prices. Although you can't really taste the pomegranate, don't worry. The flavor is so incredibly mild. The texture is not your standard oral toothpaste chalk, goo, stickiness or your standard over-gel texture. It's so smooth. It is not watery either. It's firm yet delicate. No film at all with proper rinsing is left on your teeth. Plaque and grime were gone upon using. Leaving teeth glossy, shiny and completely clean. Feels so great brushing with this product. Feels good using on the tongue to brush with too! I loved the sensation of cleanliness. No bad after taste! There are no bad flavors in this toothpaste. I'm not sure I agree with some of it's negative reviews about bad flavor. For those people claiming to taste the neem or saying they gag or throw up on this, well all I can say is, if you puke from mint? Umm, I don't know how you can brush your teeth. Standard products have much more intense flavors. It's not possible to throw up or gag on this toothpaste's mild flavor. I think those people enjoy exaggeration. It's simply has a ever so slightly and super delicate perfect amount of mint flavor. I mean, it's really mild. That's coming from a person that can't even eat any type of over peppered foods or spicy food either due to spicy food burnings and discomfort reactions I get when trying to eat anything spicy. I am very picky about flavors. Completely impressed by this product. My teeth felt so smooth, glossy, and clean when I used this. How could of gone this long with out finding non-crest or Colgate death toothpastes out there? Was tired of years of brushing with harsher chemicals. If you want a mild tasting, not over done mint toothpaste with so much nicer ingredients and are one of those brush 3 to 4 times per day people, you will not be disappointed with this product. In fact, I wish they should travel sized toothpaste to keep a smaller tube in my purse rather than this giant tube size now. Lol! I would even recommend this for children who dislike toothpastes but can put up with a very mild mint flavor and do not like those stronger toothpastes that people use. After using this my mouth and teeth didn't feel pasty or dry or over cooked with chemicals and the toothpaste didn't gel or foam up. Simply fantastic and truly delicate with a great taste and texture. Good job on making this toothpaste. It's terrific and I'm very happy with it so far. Finally a nightmare-free toothpaste with far less chemicals! I recommend this toothpaste. I understand how scary it is switching or hunting for a new toothpaste or going out of your standard comfort zone in buying a toothpaste that you don't know of or maybe never heard of can be a challenge. Be careful with some organic toothpastes. Some I have found even had ingredients in them that after so long could cause cancer. Or other ingredients in it that just wasn't safe. So glad to have found this toothpaste.

Love it! I will continue to purchase this toothpaste!
I love this toothpaste! I get mouth ulcers from name brand toothpastes so I did some research and found that I might possibly be allergic or sensitive to sodium lauryl sulfate, I’m not one to believe everything I hear or read but these mouth ulcers hurt so bad I was willing to try anything, so I decided to switch to something without SLS and see if it helped... I haven’t had one mouth ulcer since I switched so I’m thinking I’m sensitive to it and switching helped. Since it doesn’t have SLS in it, it doesn’t foam up like normal toothpaste, which honestly doesn’t bother me. I like the overall taste, it’s earthy not pomegranate at all but not a bad earthy taste. It’s quite pleasant actually! Plus I can pretty much eat or drink after brushing without the toothpaste flavor mixed with my food or drinks. It does have a slight mint to it but it’s not overpowering and it doesn’t burn my mouth which I really like! My husband said it made my breath smell like rosemary, which he liked lol. I still get a clean, polished feeling like name brand toothpaste. Also the size of the bottle is the same as your typical standard size toothpaste. Side note: I saw some pictures from previous purchasers where the ink print on the bottles seem to be looking pretty rough after just a few uses, the bottle I received said on it “new packaging, same toothpaste” so I’m assuming they fixed the ink problem. So far my bottle has held up just fine and I even wet it and rubbed to see it it would come off but it didn’t. And it looks like they used recycled cardboard as the box it comes in and a soy based ink, I like that! Less waste! Reuse, recycle, repurpose!

Flavor is ok
Better alternative then the cheap stuff the taste is ok. Would be nice if they made a 4 pack with different flavors. 4 is to much of the same flavor. 2 pack for next order.
