Still working well after a couple years.
We use these several times a week with a wireless microphone system. The charger and batteries are still working as expected, and we get at least several hours of runtime for the mics per charge. I say at least several hours because we don't typically use them for longer than about 3 or 4 hours at a time, and we haven't had the batteries die on us yet. The charger emits a very faint "coil whine" high-pitched tone, but this isn't noticeable unless you're standing next to the charger while the room is 100% silent. Also, the charger seems to charge the batteries relatively quickly after each use.

Batter charger is awesome!!
Batter charger is awesome!!! 1. Ready when you are: You cannot overcharge the batteries, it has a smart feature 2. Charging time is reasonable: 4-6 hours for AA, the higher end batteries take longer because there is more cell life to charge. make sure you charge them in pairs. It does not charge with just one battery, you need a pair to begin the cycle. Red light turns green when done. 3. Design is good: It has a lower ventilation located at the bottom of dock station so, even though batteries get warm it allows for ventilation 4. The box is sturdy: I just put the charger and cord back in the box, when not in use. The box is very study so, you can re-use and it keeps everything together 5. The batteries come with their own plastic box: My kids were always loosing the batteries but, the batteries come in this really cool little plastic box. So, i just make them put the batteries back in the box when they are done. Our wii controllers suck the life out of all batteries if you leave them in the controllers. Basically, i just got tired of buying new batteries. As long as they put the batteries back in the plastic case, all is good. We periodically recharge them but, no more buying AA for this household :)

Bought 2 Years Ago, Still Works Well!
I bought this unit about 2 years ago and I bought a pack of 16 batteries on top (we go through batteries a lot in this apartment because we're both gamers, the air-con unit uses them, the door lock uses them, the wall clock uses them etc.) I am really happy to write this positive review to say that I've not yet once had any of the 24 batteries in total die (16 I bought & the 8 that came with this.) All of them still work amazingly well & last a good while & still take the same amount of time to charge as they did when they were new. I've been very happy with my purchases and I have saved a fortune in the meantime. I used to buy 16 to 24 disposable batteries every 2 weeks. So imagine that over the 2 years I've had these EBLs, plus, I'm not having to throw batteries away which damages the environment, so that's just an added bonus :) 10/10 from me, highly recommend. Please note though (and it does state this clearly) that you MUST recharge the batteries in pairs. If, like me, you have something that only takes 3 batteries, then you can use a fully charged one along with the 3 depleted ones & it won't do any harm. Just remember to charge in pairs. The battery charger works well with a smart plug too so I have mine linked to my Echo Dot.

May stop working
My first charger and set of AA batteries worked so great I ordered a second one for AAA batteries. Unfortunately, less than 3 months later it stopped working (outside of the return window). The first charger is still functioning properly, but the second one just flashes red lights. It will not charge batteries. It isn't the cable or the batteries. The issue is definitely with the charging base. Aside from that, the battery life is great and the one working base is doing fine. ****UPDATE: I was contacted by the company, and sent a replacement. Great customer service with very timely responses.

Great product
This is the 3rd unit we've purchased. We utilize a LOT of AA batteries for our weekly church services in the body packs for instruments, singer microphones, in-ear monitors, and our Pastor. The batteries easily handle hundreds of rechargings while maintaining their power. This is a much more cost effective solution to the massive # of alkaline batteries we were going through each month. Also no chemical waste from the alkaline batteries.

The EBL 2300aH batteries and the charger have both proved to be good so far. I have also used the charger to recharge some eneloop and other batteries as well. Having 8 charging ports allows for a number of batteries of mixed sizes to be on charge at the same time. There is an LED status light to show the status of the battery. The batteries charge fast so has been very handy to have.

Good value for money with the 8x charger, but batteries didn't perform as well under load compared to eneloop pro, I put 8 eneloop in series and got 10v when powering Nerf Blaster motors, but EBL gave only 9.3v same condition and fully charged. good value for money thou, especially if you aren't going to use it for high draining applications.

Good charger, quick, not large like other brands, very compact. Charges even one battery, great feature as my previous one only charge pairs of batteries.

Appear to be good quality, both the battery and the versatile charger.

While I'm not going to bore you with my more in-depth review of the batteries themselves (you can check my AAA battery review from the same company if you're curious), I will say simply: This is a great starter. If you're just getting into rechargeable batteries, you need two things: rechargeable batteries, and a charger. This has both (obviously). The charger supports both AA and AAA form factors (though you do have to use quite a bit of force surprisingly to "lock" AAA batteries into their ports - I guess they're not going anywhere?).
