Bulk Micellar Casein Protein Powder, Protein Shake, Vanilla, 4 kg, Packaging May Vary

I was very dubious about the flavour because of all the reviews but I decided to go with unflavoured and it turned out to be exactly that... No flavour whatsoever. You might get a slight taste of milk if mixing with water but as I mix with milk anyway it's just like drinking a thick glass of milk. I don't even blend or shake, I just stir thoroughly then let sit for a minute before gulping down. No issues whatsoever with the bag, so long as you knock down the powder that got stuck at the top during shipping you won't have any issues with the resealable strip, it can be finicky at first but you quickly get the hang of it. If the nutritional values are accurate then unflavoured not only have more protein but also less sugar... choice is obvious to me since I'm not looking to win a tasting competition but actually use a functional and good value supplement. Will be buying again no doubt!

As this is a bulk bag I had expected it to have a good use by date. You buy it before you have used up all of your present stock to ensure you don't run out and also get it when it is at a good price not the highest price. So it turns up with only 5 months left on its use by date. Compare this to Boots USN protein delivery of 4Kg tub with 22 months before run out date. This is the third time I've sent Bulk powders product back because of short run out dates. If they want to sell it close to the use by date then they shuld inform the customer and reduce the price to shift it. Shame because it is a very good prouct. Even more so when mixed 50/50 with USN All in One Anabolic Muscle Fuel. Both taste better when mixed together plus you get fast and slow protein absorption in one drink.

Ew. Where to even start with this, I personally wouldn't buy it, it tastes disgusting*** Pro's ***- You get the right amount of protein for what you paid- This would only be good if you were to use it in pancakes or blended with other stuff to mask how bad it is, I wouldn't have the chocolate flavour this being the case as it's better to be flavourless*** Con’s ***- The taste of this is absolutely ridiculously disgusting- The powder is very hard to mix and if you've ever tried it's almost impossible, I've found it easier to mix this with water than milk but either way it makes me feel sick- The price is not worth what you get for this, I'm sure there are a lot of alternatives which would be better- The packaging for this product is absolutely awful, it practically falls apart and feels like it's made of paperOverall I have to drive home the point that you should definitely not buy this, however if you do decide to end up purchasing this you can use it in recipes, so long as it doesn't make up more than 5% of what's in the meal then you'll probably be okay (so long as it's not the flavoured)

Ok there’s a lot of powders to choose from and I’ve tried a lot of them, expensive ones, cheap ones and so on.Well this powder is very fine and mixes instantly in my protein promaxx mixer bottle. It is easy to stomach, i really mean that, it really is nice to drink and I enjoy taking it. I always buy strawberry flavour and the flavour is very nice if you mix it correctly with the right amount of water.I am using this protein every day after training, before bed every day along with a bulk powders whey protein pure isolate 90 twice a day and a regular strength training program and a high density nutritional meal plan and I am obtaining actual visible gains. I am also lifting stronger as well.So with a good program and consistent use of this product I am seeing actual gains and enjoy drinking it and other bulk powders products.The price is ver6 reasonable and they often have offers on too. Highly recommended!

The value for money of this powder is great, good protein to other components and I love that the packaging is recyclable/biodegradable.Onto taste-Received this the other day, instructions state to add 1.5cup to 250ml of cold water which I did, shaking liberally, I have a mesh protein bottle with no mixing ball.First sip, taste is fine, a very faint chocolate flavour, not too unpleasant. But the texture is not good, it's filmy, the liquid will coat the inside of your bottle, your mouth and teeth. It's actually incredibly unpleasant. I wondered if I'd done something wrong as other powders I've used haven't turned out like this.I made a second one to ensure that it wasn't a problem with measurements, I even weighed the components. Same story, taste is fine but texture is off.To know I've got at least 30 more of these to go is going to be testing. I might try with milk and see if it improves texture. If not, it might be a case of getting creative with it.Unfortunately will not be buying another of these

Really wasn't a fan of this protein (BP Casein unflavoured) but it's also the first time ive ever purchased unflavoured, or Casein, so I have no benchmark for what is good or not.When mixed in certain drinks it seemed to bubble and froth which made the drink quite unpleasant if you left it for a while as it would look like a toddler had come and blown bubbles in your drink with a straw.When mixed in with my normal whey it would leave slightly sandy/chalky deposits in the corners of my mouth.I originally bought it to use with berries in smoothies as my choc whey was too strong, but the casein seemed to dilute the flavours of anything I put it into, so I stopped using it in most smoothies.

This stuff is great. Mixes well with milk and makes for a great "frappe" using crushed ice too.This actually tastes like real chocolate, and Bulk's eco efforts, using compostable bags is commendable, rather than the usual plastic canisters or soft plastic bags.I only bought the 1KG to test the flavour/texture and have been buying the 4KG bags since then as they' significantly better value.Strongly recommend and will keep buying unless they do something strange that ruins it like some other brands in the past have.
