Elastikon Elastic Tape - 1" x 2.5 yds - 2 Rolls

This tape is very sticky and it holds the bandage very well. It also is not slippery on the floor. We like how it performed on the bandages.

It works wonders for my bandages.

It’s a good product, just not as good as 3M. It leaves a lot of sticky crap on your fingers when you’re done with it unlike the 3M product.

My dog had to have a toe amputated, so his foot needed to stay bandaged and wrapped while he recovered. These bandages were recommended to me by my vet who also uses them on horses hooves. AMAZING! These bandages are breathable, so if they get wet they can still dry out. Also, if they get wet they don't loose their adhesiveness. They stick very well to animal fur, so you do need to be careful when removing. Also, they take a beating. I used this tape on my dogs paws and it held up on gravel, dirt, and asphalt for over 36hrs of wear (I had to changed the bandages otherwise I'd have tested it for longer time).

Don't waste your time or money trying to buy a cheap knock off- especially if you are trying to tape a giant surgical incision where your dog had his back leg amputated. Accept nothing less than Elastikon. You aren't saving any money if you need to reapply the cheaper and less reliable tape 3x a day, trust me.

My podiatrist said to put tape on the base of my hammer toe below the knuckle, and cross cross on the bottom of my foot (like a breast cancer symbol) to help flatten it. It was hard to find tape in the stores that had a comfortable stretch and was thin enough. This tape is just right.
