Royal Chef's Secret Extra Long Basmati Rice, 20 Pound Bag

This is the most wonderful Basmati rice in the world !!! The flavor is highly aromatic to the point that my whole house smells like the rice. The grains are super long and very defined despite being fluffy. This is a premium rice that deserves a place in your pantry if you love Indian cuisine at home. I love it so much I eat it plain. I used to cook Basmati rice the way that my dear Indian friend Uma taught me. Rinsing the rise, soaking it for 20 minutes, frying it a bit in ghee, and then putting it in the boiling water and covering it. Then let thing the rise rest for 10 minutes after the cooking time was over. Now I have an inexpensive rice cooker that is one of my best ever purchases. With the rice cooker I rinse the rice very, very well, then I soak it it for 25 minutes, rinse the soaked rice in cold water and place in rice cooker with 1 tsp salt. The ration of rice to water is 1 to 1.5, that means 1 cup rice soaked and rinsed, to 1.5 cups of water, 2 cups rice to 3 cups water., and so on. Don’t add any oil or butter. Cover rice cooker and let it run its cycle. Once it’s done, let sit covered for about 5-10 minutes. Uncover and fluff with a fork and serve. Store in fridge and warm in microwave, adding about 2 tablespoons of water and covering tightly- this will steam the rice. Yum! Hope it helps.

I love this rice since 2013 untel now. long grain rice And very soft its work with Biryani, butter chicken, kabsa or soup, this rice is the best rice ever.

I thought I ordered the 20 lb. bag but the 10 lb bag was delivered. I am so happy with this purchase, otherwise! The bag of Royal Chef's Basmati White Rice arrived early! It was in a sealed box and the bag the rice was in was very sturdy, no tears, no holes or perforations. The rice cooked the way I wanted to cook it was delicious. I compared the Amazon price to Sam's club and the difference was a dollar in favor of Sam's club. However, the ship time from Sam's club was longer and Sam's club did not offer the variety of sizes or brands. In addition I bought a two pack of air tight 11 liter food safe containers to hold my new rice. Both the rice and the containers were delivered at the same time from different sellers! Very pleased.

I am Big time into meal prepping. I like to pre-fill my containers with meat/poultry or fish with “this” rice for my meals. I find this rice to cook evenly, gave great texture and flavor. It is definitely my GoTo for rice 🍚.

This is about the only brand of rice I use anymore. The look, taste and texture are great. Always rinse before using to flush out the rice dust and prevent sticky rice. A bit pricy but well worth it.
