Easy install & generator charging tip
We ditched the LA batteries and went with Lifepo4 batteries. The install of this charger/ converter was straight forward. We also moved our batteries to under the sofa adjacent to the power center. A smart shunt has permitted us to monitor the charging and power usage accurately. Here's what we noticed when using our generator to charge - the charging amps were frequently less than 20 amps even when the batteries were at less than 50%. The solution to as to let the generator (newer 3200 Firman) for about 3-5 minutes (until the green light came illuminated on the generator) and THEN plug in the RV to the 30 amp outlet on the generator. HUGE improvement and much faster charging with very close to 50 amps going to the batteries until the batteries get close to a full charge.Hope that helps!

Lithium upgrade
If you have lithium batteries in your RV, you need one of these to maximize their capabilities.Fit, form replacement for the 8955 series converter. Straightforward install. Fan is a bit noisy but it only runs when you first start up the converter and it is supplying a higher current to charge you batteries so not a big deal.

Easy swap.
Upgraded to this on my 2022 Freedom Express 192RBS. I switched to Lifepo4 batteries and this is required for a full charge. Swap out was easy and unit has been in for a month and working fine.

Replaced my 8955 perfectly
Quick and easy to install. I replaced my WF-8955 with this to charge our new 280ah lifepo4 battery in the motorhome. Was bulk charging it at about 35 amps according to the amp meter.

Advertises 50A but I measured only 17.8A into a 400Ah LiFePO4 bank at 60% SoC
This unit installs VERY easily!1. Disconnect battery and 110v power from trailer2. Remove the front bezel of your load centre3. Disconnect the three 110v wires (black, white and green) from the breaker assembly4. Remove the 12v connection block PCB for ease of access5. Disconnect the white (negative) and red (positive) 12v output wires from the existing converter6. Unscrew two hold-down screws in the front of your existing converter7. Remove old converter, taking note of where the 110v and 12v wires passed through the various partitions7. Route new converter wires using same holes as previous unit, leaving the new converter free to allow wires to be routed8. Reconnect new converter wires the same as the original unit wasred = 12v positivewhite = negative on the right sideblack goes to your breakerwhite connects to the neutral bus where the other white wires gogreen goes to the ground bus where all the non-insulated copper conductors terminate9. reconnect your battery bank and 110v power to "smoke test" your setupNOTE: Be sure not to touch any exposed metal in the process.10. when this smoke test passes, disconnect the battery and 110v11. slide new charge converter into the slots at the bottom of your load centre12. install the two hold-down screws to keep the new charge converter in its place13. reinstall load centre bezel14. reconnect 12v and 110v to trailer

Kinda happy but not fully understand the bulk mode charge
It's a direct replacement. Easy peasy. Everything fit perfectly in the RV. I did try it out when I bought it with my lithium setup in the house. Everything was perfect. Bulk charge was happening at each charge. Now, I'm writing this as I'm boondocking while our daily life in the RV is going.I don't fully understand how this charger go in bulk mode. You can't find anything on the internet about it. The owner manual don't say how to "engage it". I would like to have the option since we are allowed only a few hours in the morning and for dinner to use the generator to go in BULK to get back to 90% SoC fast. Yesterday it did it. Today it didn't.
