Altamento recomendado

Excellent introduction to Peruvian independence struggles
Witness to the Age of Revolution is an excellent introduction to the independence period of South American history and to Peruvian history in particular. I must confess that as a traditionalist of sorts, I was a bit skeptical about graphic history works. Walker and Clarke have forced me to reconsider, and I recommend this book without reservation. Full disclosure: The author is not only an admired colleague, but also a personal friend. But I would not write a favorable review if I did not think favorably of the book, even for a friend.

Amazing and Educational!
Beautiful artwork, educational, and overall a sad, but compelling tale of Juan Bautista. Would recommend to anyone learning about Andean historic figures and the impact the Spanish conquistadores had on the indigenous peoples of Peru.
