Bye bye gnats
These worked. Temporary for sure but they worked well enough that I am back to buy more. Remember the soil has to be moist for these guys to live and be effective. I love that they are natural solution for pest control indoors. They have no smell and the instructions were easy to follow. The value was good compared to buying something from the store or replacing sticky strips.

They worked for me and you can see it for yourself!
I have a garden in my basement. I originally started out in hydroponics and decided to see how I could do with a "soil like medium" in a grow bag. A number of months after I started this project I noticed some small fly's (I think fruit fly's). Over the weeks they got to be significant and I was looking for ways to get rid of them. I hung the sticky fly catching strips and tried other methods (no pesticides) and nothing was working very well. When I saw the NaturesGoodGuys beneficial nematodes Hb+Sc+Sf 5 million Nematodes I decided to give them a try. I have never used nematodes before so this is what I did and I don't guarantee what I did is correct. You get the small packet of nematodes packed along with a bag of melted water (not sure but it is a liquid). That was put there to help keep it cool. The instructions say it is normal for it to be melted when you get it. But upon receipt I put it into the refrigerator (their instructions). I think the next day I filled a 2 L watering can about 4/5 full of water and put in the contents of the packet of nematodes. It just looks like brown powder. I then used my watering can and applied some to the top of the dirt in each growing bag. I was not sure how much to use so I started being conservative and when I had added it to all the growing bags I went back and tried to give more equally to all the bags. The instructions say to keep the "dirt" moist but I didn't change my watering habits from the schedule I was following before adding the nematodes. I have two pictures attached to this review. The first is labeled "Before" which is a fly catching strip that had been hanging for about 2 weeks BEFORE I used the nematodes. The second picture is labeled "After" and this picture was taken exactly 16 days AFTER I applied the nematodes. I think you can see there are still some fly's but there are way fewer then there were before. This is noticeable by just standing around the plants. I don't think I noticed much of a difference for about a week and then it seemed like the number of fly's was going down. It is unfortunate but bugs get into your home no matter how hard you try. I wanted to do something to get rid of them without using any chemicals. So far I call this experiment successful. If you have a bug issue (different solutions for different bugs) then you should consider NaturesGoodGuys beneficial nematodes Hb+Sc+Sf. It will be interesting to see if the fly population will continue to go down of the coming weeks. If I have something relevant to add I will update this review in the future.

Fast and amazing results, but need better instructions perhaps?
Let me start out by saying that within two weeks of applying 1/2 of the nematodes to my 2 cubic foot indoor container, my fungus gnat infestation had *completely* disappeared and I was extremely surprised. Unexpectedly, up to 3 days before they fungus gnats disappeared I still had a tent full of them and wasn't sure the nematodes were working. The only downside is that because of the way the manufacturer described the equipment requirements for spreading the nematodes, I remained pretty stressed the entire time and at the end there was no need for it. First off, the fugus gnat infestation was really bad, there were hundreds of them flying around the 3x3x7 grow tent constantly. I could watch them running up and down the trunk of the plants from the soil - it was creepy and I was nervous that they'd spread to all of my other plants and grow tent. A couple of friends told me immediately to apply nematodes and the problem would resolve. The instructions for applying the nematodes say that they require at least a .8mm opening for them to pass through. I'm not sure if anyone has ever tried to measure a hole that small, but let me tell you it isn't easy. In my opinion their instructions could be more clear for us gardeners and that's why I deducted a star. I used my standard off-brand cheap 1gallon garden sprayer to apply the nematodes. I adjusted it so that it was almost completely a stream to make sure the hole was big enough to allow the nematodes to pass. My advice?? YES, nematodes are amazing, they work fast, they're a beneficial part of an organic garden and I would suggest everyone use them every time they fill a container. YES, you can use a standard garden sprayer set to stream to apply them.

Did not work for us on Eastern subterranean termites
I purchased the triple blend packet to treat a termite tube and surrounding ground along the foundation wall of our house. I cannot see that it made any difference at all after two weeks. I introduced the product by mixing per the instructions. I lightly sprinkled the tube with the nematode solution and flooded the ground around the entry point to the tube. I watered the ground in the heat of the day after initial treatment to make sure ground temps did not exceed 86 degrees per instructions. The soil temp averaged about 76 degrees. I introduced some of the treated mud into a jar of termites. It appeared to have no effect after several days. I just accidentally jarred the termite tube which fell apart while trying to introduce a piece of cardboard treated with borax and sugar (after giving up on nematodes) and it was full of termites. Total waste of two weeks and money based on my experience.

Not sure if it's helping
I have bought this for a couple of years and I'm really not sure how and if it helps my garden. I am buying mainly to protect my citrus from leafcutters and leaf miners. I dilute in a 5 gallon bucket and pour over four citrus and fruit trees in mid-spring. I know that I'm supposed to keep the ground moist, I have read the directions. Am I applying at the wrong time of year? Should I make a second application at the height of summer? I can't get a straight answer online. And still I have issues with those pests come late summer. I just don't know what, if anything, I am doing wrong. I don't know how this product is helping... just thought I'd share my frustration because this is not cheap to purchase...
