I normally dont like to be long winded on reviews...but this subwoofer deserves the details. I had never heard of DS18 before looking on amazon. But let me tell you that this sub and the manufacturer has blown me away! I have designed and built audio systems for years , both professionally and for pleasure. So sound quality is very important to me. Being very skeptical about purchasing a subwoofer from a company i had never heard of took alot from me especially being on a tight budget. But i did it and let me tell everyone......i feel like i cheated the manufacturer. This is the cleanest, and loudest entry level subwoofer i have ever heard. Especially in this price range. I paired this single 4ohm sub with the pioneer GM D8701 monoblock amplifier. It is a match made in heaven. Now people....please understand....this is not a competition sub. This sub will not flex your doors. It will not vibrate your mirrors. But it will reproduce bass tones very crisply, deeply, and loudly. I needed a good sub for my single cab Chevy 1500 that wouldnt overpower my aftermarket radio. So i decided on a console design to get the most out of the subwoofer. Before i designed and built my box , i contacted DS18 in miami florida and was immediately connected to a technician named Aaron. He provided me with information not included with the delivered sub to maximize the efficiency of my box design. This turned out to be a huge help. And the customer service there was top notch. After speaking with Aaron i designed my box with a port tune at 38 hz. So far this sub isnt even broken in and i am stunned at the tonal quality and deep rich low bass tones. This subwoofer is very well made and has surpassed any expectation i have of it. This product also has an excellent staff to help answer any question you may have. I was treated with the utmost respect while on the phone with them and after hearing both the sub and their customer service....i am now a hands down fan of their product. As long as you read the specs,use the proper enclosure and pair the right amplifier with this subwoofer....you will not be dissapointed.

The first on; e they sent was damaged in shipping. I suppose it could be fixed, but they were quick to send out a replacement, so big props to them for that. What they DON'T tell you is the fact that the dust cap doesn't really look like how they do in the pics. The "DS18" logo Is embossed but not colored in. It's just the color of the center cap. I'll post pics later. I really liked the red and white logo. I'm really disappointed that the only part with colored in is the little "select" word. I'll let you know how it sounds once installed I guess. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ds18 never disappoints these subs are amazing for the price and sound phenomenal on my Harley.

Great subwoofer buggah hits slams and bumps

This sub was perfect for what i wanted it for & sounded amazing after I finally got done. I had a old 2011 sony stereo & the connector pins broke off inside the head unit. So i bought some terminals & plugs, then did a bit of soldering & cutting, wired up the the new sub with the old speaker box.... & boom everything worked perfect. Sounded great & got much bass than the factory sub that came with the system. The material its made with is looks top notch. But the only downside which is no big deal to me at all is the weight of the whole sub. Its a bit heavier than what i thought but hey im not complaining, eveything turned out great!

Okay, I installed it this morning. Breaking it in slowly. I installed it in a ported enclosure. Definitely rattled the windows and mirrors but not as much sound as I would like. So I covered the port up. Definitely improved the sound quality. I listen to classic rock. It Does take more power than my previous speaker. I bought one of those $20 Boss speakers. And it would bottom out even at a medium volume. This does not seem to do that. Speaker Grill does not fit because of the giant foam roll. Definitely sticks out a lot more then previous speaker.! I think it was worth $46 +. If anything changes I'll update but I think we're good to go. I can recommend it for just your average stereo. Oh, I'm using MTX Road Thunder 202 amp bridged. Which is 200 Max Amps and 100 RMS. And the gain is at about 40%. Update after a week. Quite impressed with the sound! I've had to turn the gain down on the amplifier because it got louder as it got broken in and loosened up. Resealed this subwoofer box. That also helped a lot. Totally recommend it. Great for an average to above-average sound system.! Update 2 weeks so far. The sound is amazing. I have it in small sealed box. I really can't get over how good it sounds. If i really turn up the bass it will rattle my truck apart i think.

je suis un vrai passionné de son (H-C,HIFI,SONO AUTO)je suis rarement surpris par du nouveau matériel(pour mon H-C ,j'ai un B&W DB1D a l'avant et pour pousser un peu plus le vice,derrière mon divan se trouve un SUB REL 30CM ,500W CLASS -D ,et bien,j' ai fait un essai juste pour le fun,j'avais un petit ampli JAMO pour SUB ,35WRMS ( avec crossover et fréquence ) que j' ai placé au dos d'un caisson MTX voiture 30cm,le gros caisson bien lourd et bien imposant pour ne plus savoir aller faire les courses...bref,'ai découper l'arriere du caisson pour encastrer l'ampli JAMO (220volts) et j 'ai refixé sur le trou de cm une planche en mdf que j' ai découpée a la mesure du fameux DS-18 en 8 pouces,juste pour essayer,résultat je suis resté sur le cul ,avec seulement une membrane de 20cm,après 20 bonnes heures de rodage,il descend aussi bas que le REL (SUB A 1000 EUROS QUAND MEME)je n'en reviens tjs pas ,donc je vais garder le 8pouces comme deuxième sub dans la voiture et acheté pour mon H-C le même en 10 pouces et frabriquer un caisson clos je précise,j' ai essayé plusieurs fréquences et je l'ai également essayé en clos ou avec évent, il n 'y a pas photo,ce sub demande deux choses,la première un caisson clos sinon il a tendance à flopper un peu et surtout isoler tout l'intérieur de mousse acoustique ou autre absorbant car sans cela,ce sub est tellement rigide qu'il accentue l'effet de caisse,a savoir,que l 'on entend fortement le bruit de caisse fort désagréable,donc si je peux me permettre ,n'hésitez surtout pas sur le capitonnage interne de votre caisson,l'effet de caisse disparait complètement pour laisser a du très bon grave,et meme de l 'infra-grave,incroyable ,je ne peux que vous le recommander chaudement,vous ne serez pas déçu du voyage et le terme en avoir pour son argent dans ce cas ci ,prend tout son sens... vous cherchez un sub qui déménage,qui assure grave avec un petit 8pouces a un prix serré,ce ds18 est fait pour vous,pour moi,dans sa gamme de prix et ses prestations incroyables,ce SUB n' a pas de concurrence... je le recommande chaudement pour la maison ou pour sa voiture,il dépassera toutes vos attentes... PS; pour ma part,j'ai essayé plusieurs fréquences,le 70hz lui colle à la peau et il est impossible de le localiser,j' arrête là,vous avez bien compris que je suis fan de ce petit produit qui fourni de grandes prestations.... magique,incroyable, et tout ce bonher pour 70 euros + un panneaux en MDF ,vous serez aux anges....

Had a JL 10” sub in a box and was happy with it , but was an 8 ohm sub and my amp was 4 ohm , so I wanted to purchase a new sub , did a ton of reading and ended up buying this sub! Still in beak in period but what a nice tight punchy sub!! Blows the old JL away , excellent build quality, just a all around nice looking great sounding sub!! Take my word and order one , or two , as you won’t be disappointed,

Aún no los he probado pero aparentemente tienen una pinta increible, según las especificaciones es para SPL. Yo he fabricado un cajón en el maletero para 2 de ellos.

Se ve muy bien dentro de poco lo pondré a retumbar
